  1. @Dave-H. Thanks. I did manage to get missing updates via MS Update Catalogue as you suggested. Had to changeout MSO.DLL again. Today I used ie8 Microsoft Update and it worked OK. I was offered Word KB4484380, which didn't seem to break anything.
  2. I am having a real problem with Microsoft Update. I did have it set to notify only, but have now turned it off as scvhost.exe was gobbling up 50% CPU and fan going like the clappers. I tried via ie8 Microsoft Update, but just gets nowhere. I guess I am resigned to receiving no more Office 2010 updates, a few months before they stop.
  3. Agreed, seems fine here also. Didn't need to go searching for this update, as it was notified by the automatic update tray icon.
  4. @Dave-H. That worked a treat. Saved messing about removing update/s. Thankyou for sharing that work-round.
  5. Both KB4484243 and KB4484236 installed OK via Automatic Updates. Didn't have to search for them. No adverse effects so far.
  6. I found this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2986256/november-27-2019-update-for-office-2010-kb2986256 Refers to error you may get in MSAccess.
  7. @Mathwiz, Thanks for posting the links. I had same problem with those 3 updates failing to install the normal way. Links downloaded updates and they installed OK. No adverse effects on Office 2010 workings I can see from my quick test that they start up.
  8. For what it is worth, I installed Office update KB4475604 yesterday, before all your posts appeared. Outlook and other Office 2010 programs seem to run OK afterwards.
  9. Thanks for heads up on KB4464566 being bad on XP. I have removed that update and back working OK.
  10. Remote Desktop Services Remote Code Execution Vulnerability: May 14, (CVE-2019-0708) Microsoft have issued patch updates for this, including for older now unsupported OS, like WinXP SP3. Update can download from this MS webpage at the moment. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4500705/customer-guidance-for-cve-2019-0708
  11. Hi. I just joined this forum to post that I have been having problems with Office 2010 updates from Microsoft on WinXP. Office 2010 KB4462223 caused me grief today, until I removed and blocked it. Hope this info is useful to others.
