  6. er i think they're only for intel nforce4 sli Dr!ll
  7. is the driver decorated? does it work on a normal install from a floppy? a few people are having trouble making 64bit unattended installs i wanted to slipstream the nvidia raid drivers, but no joy so far (although i've just removed the raid array that had my os's on)
  8. you're welcome just trying to help
  9. according to the m$ website
  10. the trial is a full working copy of Windows XP x64 edition that lasts 120 days (although the email they send you says 180 days) and then times out. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/e...tion/trial.mspx

  14. wow, sorry about that seanie, i've only just seen your other post usually if anybody asks about drivers, i reccomend planetamd64.com to them had i seen your post i probably would have done the same there's no need to get your knickers in a twist though. lol chill out, don't be so wound up i have noticed that on quite a few forums, there are some people are unwilling to help others. i do not consider myself to be one of them, i try to help anybody that i can on forums or anywhere else. like i said at the start of this, i am sorry for not noticing your previous post
  15. Nice find Jazkal : i'm gonna try it later
  16. gr8 find Seanie's Show, you should check(search) the forums at planetamd64.com, the peeps over there found these drivers 3 weeks ago (may 2nd) the more popular the forum the better the info
  17. i still can't get the nvidia drivers to work
  18. those new drivers won't work for me i ended up needing to restore a backup image of xp64 when i tried them a few days ago
  19. so if i don't need winPE for a single unattended install, how do i slipstream my nvidia raid drivers into the install? a few people have tried, but it never seems to work big poppa pump is the only person i've seen saying he's managed to do it. i pm'ed him but so far no reply so much for forums being a helpful collective source of knowledge
  20. hpor was asking about the SILICON IMAGE drivers. in your comment you made it sound like no matter what brand the controller was, if you were not using raid then you wouldn't need drivers. This is not the case. i simply pointed out that only a select few chipsets, including the nvidia one have the plain sata bus drivers built into windows, and for most other chipsets - including the SILICON chipset, you would need a driver disk. it doesn't matter if you use them in a single drive config or a raid config, you will still need a floppy disk to supply windows with the correct drivers Thank You
  21. can someone tell me exactly how you are supposed to make an unattended cd using winPE? or at least point me in the right direction thanks in advance
  22. try asking over on www.planetamd64.com there's a lot more users visiting that site
  23. That wouldn't work. The .cat or security catalog file is for a specific driver. Also if you make any changes like edit the .inf file then the .cat file is again nogood. You also couldn't use a .cat file from a different 64bit driver. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hmm, there's a 6.25 floppy creator with cat files i wonder if they'd work then? if anybody wants the exe file, i know it's on planetamd64.com, in the download section, but you have to register with the site to get access to all of the downloads the forums are great tho. IMHO
  24. once your system is set up, you should use ghost or something similar to create an image of your partition, and store it on a dvd then if anything goes wrong, you can restore the image in 5-10 minutes instead of 4 hours to reinstall. i found i couldn't do this because my drives are in raid, so i made a BartPE cd with the raid drivers, ghost and paragon hard disk manager.(among others) now when i want to make or restore an image i just boot with my Bart cd p.s. the bart cd also comes in handy if you need to troubleshoot your pc (lots of handy utils.)
  25. windows will only auto detect the nforce sata controller, single drives.(non raid) most other controllers, including silicon, need a floppy disk. even the nvidia controller needs drivers if you use the raid function
