  1. So the taskbar locks up, not the start menu? But why just the primary monitor.... 🤔 Cuz news and interests can only show on the primary monitor? I wanna strangle someone at MS right now. Btw, you can kill the WebView2 processes and they won't come back, but killing search app makes it come back. And removing search app makes the start menu (and I guess taskbar) freeze for 5-10 sec.
  2. It takes about 5 seconds to show. The taskbar hangs for the duration. Search functionality doesn't seem to be affected. If anything, it seems faster. Also, oddly the delay is only on the primary monitor! (This details is what makes me believe something can be done on the StartIsBack side rather than waiting for MS to fix their ***** updates.) I renamed the SearchApp folder because it was behaving like malware - spawning tons msedgewebview2 processes and hogging memory for no purpose. I would like to keep that pest off my machine.
  3. Hm... didn't realize this program came from here. So... in windows 10, problem is, when the PC has been on for a while the details pane randomly disappears from the initial explorer instance. I can get it to appear again by creating a new explorer instance - either explicitly launching windows in a new instance or just restarting the initial one(though sometimes that has other undesirable side effects). But hey, that's advanced power-usery stuff and who has time for that. Would appreciate a fix.
  4. The update somehow disturbs the desktop icon alignment - can't put icons on the edges of the lowest row. I managed to get it working by disabling and re-enabling "Align icons to grid". Edit: Also, minimizing windows does weird things for a split second. It's jarring.
