Hi there, first of all I wanted to thank @roytam1 for providing these builds! I wanted to share an auto-update script I wrote to automatically download the latest Weekly Browser Binary from here every Saturday and install it. I'm sure this isn't the best way to be doing this but worked well for me as a scheduled task every Saturday at 11:55 PM The script as it's written assumes the following but can be easily modified for your setup: 7-Zip is installed Your browser is located at C:\Program Files\palemoon GNU Wget 1.19.4 binary is located at C:\Program Files\palemoon_updater Script must be run on Saturday after the weekly binaries have been posted Essentially the script just downloads the latest NM28XP build and extracts it. Hi there, thanks to all for all this gathered information! I'm using FireFox 52.5.0 ESR on Windows XP x64 Edition SP2 and having an odd issue which I didn't see others having while scanning through the thread. I can install the plugin by modifying the about:config as specified and dropping the plugin in the profile folder, going to youtube.com/html5 reveals that it's working, but then when I close and re-open FireFox, the plugin is removed! I'll close FireFox, re-open it, and as FireFox opens the 17 folder is deleted from within the gmp-eme-adobe folder, and many of the flags set in about:config are completely gone. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with being signed in to my FireFox account, so I'll probably wipe FireFox clean and try again without signing in and let you know how it goes. Thanks for reading! I found out what was causing my issue. For Windows XP Pro x64, the media.gmp-eme-adobe.abi string must be set to x86-msvc-x64 as opposed to x86-msvc-x86, otherwise the plugin is removed when FireFox is relaunched and the version, abi, and lastUpdate lines are all removed from the config. If another human being exists in the world that uses Windows XP x64, hopefully that's useful

I know this is a bit of an old issue that affects a very small amount of people, but this issue seems to have been officially resolved with KB4011188. You can now update as normal without omitting certain KBs! KB4011188 replaces the following: KB3213624 - Crashes KB3203460 - Crashes KB3191899 - Crashes KB3141538 - Crashes KB3118380 - Working

Microsoft seems to have officially fixed this issue with the release of KB4011188, you can automatically update Office 2010 on Windows XP x64 without manually omitting KBs now. Snipped my later posts and editing this to contain actual useful information. Office 2010 can be installed on Windows XP Pro x64 by setting the installer to run in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP. Without installing any updates, Office 2010 runs as expected. As you're updating your Office 2010 installation using Microsoft Update, you'll want to avoid a few updates that will crash Office 2010 running on Windows XP Pro x64. KB3203460 KB3191899 KB3141538 Each of these KBs is a replacement of the previous KB, so if you hide KB3203460 in Microsoft Update, KB3191899 will show up. Hide that and KB3141538 will come along. Hide THAT and KB3118380 will show up, which DOES NOT crash Office 2010 and can be safely installed. TL;DR hide the listed KBs in Microsoft Update when they show up if you want to update Office 2010 on Windows XP Pro x64. I'll try to keep this up to date if another KB comes along to replace KB3203460.

Thanks for the responses, though I'm probably going to just use this computer build for another project. Even trying to install Windows XP is throwing out ACPI compliance errors, and on Windows 98 I can't even get to a workable command-line before the computer crashes. Much appreciated!

First off, hi there! Glad to see so much activity around such an old OS. I knew there would be challenges, but I was looking into getting Windows 98 installed on a machine of mine and reading up on the RAM issues I'll have to deal with as all that's in the machine is an 8gb stick, but before I can even run the installer I'm getting issues. When I boot my Windows 98 SE disk, I am able to choose BOOT FROM CD-ROM, but after that no matter what boot option I choose, I get stuck at an error with the message: Warning: the high memory area (HMA) is not available. Additional low memory (below 640K) will be used instead. Here are the machine's specs: OS: Currently none Memory: Crucial 8GB 288-Pin DDR4 2133 MB: ASUS H110M-E/m.2 CPU: Intel Core i3-6100 GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 770 HDD: WD 1TB Sata Internal Drive I realize this isn't much to go on and that this is just my first attempt with a stock Windows 98 SE disk with no modifications, but any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!
