  1. This is a SBxx thread and Fernando has talked about windows 7 issues before, on this thread.
  2. Hello, Fernando. Do you think there is a fix for my issue? - win 7 64, raid 0 on a sb7xx ---> motherboard change with a sb950 --- >bsod I have a drivesnapshot.de image of the win7 partition just before the mobo change. Can i do some insertion to make it boot? Windows repair will not work as the partition is 20GB and just a few GB free.
  3. The only annoyance comes when you click yahoo messanger links or some other links, like in an about window of some programs... At that moment nothing will happen, even after you install firefox and allow it to be the default browser. To get it working, follow this link. In short...
  4. Windows update works just fine with IE7 removed. Control panel --> Windows Update --> check for updates. No errors whatsoever.
  5. Hey Fernando, remember this guy from china whith the endless reboots problem? I had the exact same problem at the time with 6.86 + RVMUpdatePack2.1 + latest nlite. I didn't care then, as it was not the time to reinstall, but now since RVMUpdatePack2.1.1 came out, i decided to see if things improved. I found that the problem is not with nlite or ryan's pack, but with 6.86. I remade a cdrw with the last session and used nForce4_x16_6.85_winxp2k_english. Bingo! No more endless reboots and everything works as advertised. When i used 6.86, i integrated once the lagacy folder and once the sataraid one but the problem is still there. The strange thing is that after windows got installed OK with 6.85, i manualy installed 6.86 and the raid drivers got updated nicely and there are no reboots. I have no idea how these drivers work when installed manualy and just can't get windows to boot when integrated. The endless reboots are at the point when windws finished installing everything and we are at the forst boot when windows tour should pop. The raid bios shows, and right the next second windows loading screen should apear, but instead i get "endless reboots". Btw, my mobo is an A8n Sli Premium (latest 1302 bios, 4.84 raid bios) with 2 samsung p120 - 250GB in raid 0. The windows i used is a SP2 integrated VLK this size - 579 MB (607,250,432 bytes). Last session atached. Last_Session.ini
  6. Some guy made a small tool that hides the icon. Check this
  7. I only use nvraid sata, the Silicon raid controler is disabled in bios I don't understand the need for sw drivers if my raid is on sata ports. Sure, i have one nec 4551 DVD ram on IDE2 and it works perfectly. I knew about Sil3114 "problems" and that's why i went with ports 3 and 4 on the nvraid B) Btw, i have 2 samsungs 250gb each and they perform awesome in raid 0, while being extremely silent
  8. Sorry for that typo... I've got an ASUS A8N SLI Premium.
  9. Fernando 1, i have just 2 sata drives on raid 0 (Asus A8N SLI premium) connected to nvraid. I had no problem when i installed windows with a floppy but i what to find out something if i will ever reinstall. Is it ok if i integrate just the sataraid folder and not mess with the legacy folder? I don't plan to use any other drives other than those 2 on sata raid.
  10. Thanks, it works. I probably disabled windows script host because i get "windows script host is disabled on this machine". I got around this by unchecking HideSRHi.vbs in msconfig and running HideSRHi.exe at startup.
  11. Hi there Sorry for bringing this up again.... If i rename batmeter.dll to batmeter.bak, the volume icon from taskbar is also gone. Any workaround this?
