  1. Ah, Okay. Well. I think You don't have to worry about trying to force the button image on the taskbar any longer. Why don't I send you my modified Aer 8.1 file with the fake image on the taskbar. Just to see if I got it the right size. (I also fixed the Windows 8 version too. )
  2. Sweet job Night. Looking forward to the finalized theme. Btw, did you get my comment on deviantart? Not quite, what was it again? in your Aero 8.1 Theme (And in the Aero 8 Theme) I fixed the Show Desktop area on the taskbar image. Seen here below.. v and possibly I could do the Vista theme out of Aero 8.1, maybe that way you don't have to worry about doing it yourself. The one thing I may not be able to do is the default Start Menu that Windows Vista comes with, unless you were planning on making this theme from scratch.
  3. Sweet job Night. Looking forward to the finalized theme. Btw, did you get my comment on deviantart?
  4. I'm guessing the new 8.1 Explorer Improvement project. that he talked about at the end of the comment.
  5. This wont be a standard feature, I have asked for it though and it will be implemented in a different way, it will be theme specific and be implemented in the way of modified UI files in shellstyle.dll so if a custom theme uses custom navigation panes for the control panel they will be applied with the theme, this will also be the same for other theme specific changes, so if you have a topshell theme (details pane on top) then you can add the custom UI files to the shellstyle.dll and it will be applied with the theme as shown in the image below. I see. I was only asking, because, and I'm not sure if you got my deviantart message or not, but in any case, disregard it. I had asked about the Control Navigation Panes in the Windows Style Builder, eventually I went through the comments of your Shell32 Patch for Windows 8 and figured out how to do it. I just wish it was easy to add in. I've been wanting to get xXiNightXx's Aero 8, 8.1, and his Windows Vista VS (For Windows 8 only), modified to support the CP Navigation Panes.
  6. Are the Themeable Control Panel Navigation Panes going to be part of the project? And I'm looking forward to this new project.
  7. After looking around the Windows Style Builder 1.6 A little more... I present... Windows Neo Longhorn (Currently a Work-in-Progress). There are some stuff I may still tweak. ( This version made for Windows 8.1 only due to the "Show Desktop" area in the taskbar. It's been resized from Windows 8 but I will make a Windows 8 version with the Show Desktop resized. Nothing else will change except that small area. ) Windows Style Builder 1.6 Window Frames and Taskbar Window frame location Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Tool Window Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Aero Peek Window Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Shadowless Window Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Details > Shadows (Shadows around the Window frame) Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Details > Reflections (Aero Peek Reflection) Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Details > Glows (Text Glow) Caption Button Locations Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Window > Close Button (The Dropdown Menus are where u find the actual button and the Glyph Symbols they're associated with) Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Window > Restore/Maximize Button (The Dropdown Menus are where u find the actual button and the Glyph Symbols they're associated with) Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Window > Minimize/Help Button (The Dropdown Menus are where u find the actual button and the Glyph Symbols they're associated with) Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Tool Window > Small Button Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Tool Window > Small Button Glyph Taskbar Location Taskbar & System Tray > Taskbar > Aero > Taskbar (This is for the Start Button area and the notifications area where the System Clock is.) 8. Can you make this, but with the windows being the same colour with taskbar? If you remove all the colours from the colorization panel the window is kinda whiteish..Though the taskbar is clear glass! Can you make the same with windows? And maybe keep the colour in min, max, close buttons!Or remove that too, i am just sayin.. You mean like this? (I had this done for a while now. The white tints have been toned down to keep it towards the original Consumer Preview, but the Window frames are that of Windows 7. (((Credit to eggi36 and MrGRiM01 for the original themes and patches)))
  9. Can anyone make an installer for the patch? If only I could. D: I would if I could...
  10. I don't get why they took out the control panel side pane picture to begin with
  11. This screenshot post says all. Basically it's one small change to the Control Panel window of Windows 8. Comparing the Consumer Preview, to the Final.
  12. Now, does this theme include the modified Ribbon? Or is it from the Edited RibbonUI from the System files.
  13. http://mrgrim01.deviantart.com/art/Vista-8-Modern-Mix-369583696?q=gallery%3AMrGRiM01&qo=3 this one? Isn't mine XD. But i've tested it in Windows 8.1 and it worked when i was using it.
  14. The sendspace rar is the Ribbon files only. The theme I'll put up whenever I have it completed or whenever there's an Aero-Based Theme for WIndows 8.1 Other than this http://mrgrim01.deviantart.com/art/Vista-8-Modern-Mix-369583696?q=gallery%3AMrGRiM01&qo=3 This theme is how you see it. But it doesn't affect the Ribbon. I'd like to figure out how to do the theme that makes the Ribbon UI fit the theme as well so I wouldn't have to mess with the System files... but idk how yet.
  15. A Work-in-Progress theme for Windows 8 / 8.1. "Seven8" Based from Mr.Grim's "Vista8ModernMix" theme.
  16. I have try but after that Windows tells me that it's files are already in use. I figured it out. You may have to have the "explorer.exe" not running while using the Task Manager to replace the RibbionUI or If you're dual booting Windows on your main computer. Go to the other operating system and replace the Ribbion Files there. I also found out there is RibbionUI Files in the SysWOW64 folder. Which can only be used by the SysWOW64 folder from the Consumer Preview. If you ever use a task that requires "sfc /scannow" via elevated command prompt. The process will switch the Ribbon files back to their original ones. Is there a way to go IN to the Ribbion DLL files to replace only the images contained within the Ribbon, without completely changing the UI DLL file itself. http://www.sendspace.com/file/wmb1f0 < This is the Consumer Preview Ribbon for System32 and SysWOW64 This image tutorial may not be much, I hope someone can make a better description of this than me XD.
  17. That theme are you using currently on this screenshot.
  18. The full theme I've tried, I've ported the Aero Theme and all the files along with the Aero theme, the msstyle, the shellstyle.dll, whatever goes with the default theme, for some reason it doesn't work. It prevents me from logging onto my PC for some reason so I'd have to use a System Image to restore my PC to a previous backup. So I want to go for the next best thing. Recreating the theme to make it as close as possible to Consumer Preview. Which I want to do using the window frames of Nights "Aero 8" theme, with Grim's "Vista8ModernMix" theme and the Consumer Preview theme buttons. I have to contact Grim and Night and see if it's ok to use Nights window frame resource and Grim's Vista8ModernMix theme.
  19. http://puu.sh/50xGc.png < This This is the results after changing the Ribbon UI. *Note: It only affects the ribbon and not the window theme*
  20. This is the results after changing the Ribbon UI. *Note: It only affects the ribbon and not the window theme*
  21. I'm sure Night is coming up with an update of Aero 8 so that it can work for Windows 8.1
  22. Thats weird, because i did it on mine earlier, and it worked.
