  1. In answer to your question; 1 hyperthreading cpu will show up as 2 separate cpu's. I know this from experience. Therefore I think it is safe to assume that 2 hyperthreading cpu's will show up as four.
  2. copy ntldr, ntdetect.com and boot.ini to floppy. modify boot.ini to something like: [boot loader] timeout=3 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(0)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect you can then choose which partition you want to boot xp from. if you have more than one disk then you will need to add settings for disk(1) etc
  3. Obvious response - It's the firewall on the remote pc. turn it off (if you have decent network security) or reconfigure.
  4. assuming your router is set to assign DHCP addresses to clients there should be no configuration required, just use the built in browser. If you are manually entering your network settings you will have to point your browser to the ip address of your router.
  5. Guys, if any invites still floating around I for one would really appreciate it... please...?
