There are many ways to enter a computer in a network environment. To prevent people for coming into your computer there are several things you can do. First of all, you can install an Fire Wall. Or use the SP2 fire wall. Second of all, people can enter your computer trough telnet. you can go to Run => services.msc then search fot Telnet and turn it off (disable it) You go to the control Panel => System management and then op the Local security policies Then choose Local Policy and choose the second map (dont know the name in english). The you choose the item approximate the computer form the network or something like that, and look in properties and delete the group everybody.

How did you add the neighbourhood, did you just put it in a map, or did you use the sims 2 utility (dont know the name)

You can block them like this : Start => Run => CMD then type: c:\ipconfig /all Then look at the defaultgateway, it should be someting like 192.168.1.1 then type in your address bar "http://192.168.1.1/" You willbe prompted for a username and password, depending on your Router, the default password could be different Username: Admin Password: Admin then you have to find the port and block it...

Is it an laptop with a little thingy as a mouse in the keyboard aswell?? if thats the case you can replace the thingy. If you want to make sure youre not being hacked you just turn on (in SP2) the fire wall you can check if someone's connected to your computer by Run => Cmd => Netstat -an

I dont really understand your Question, but you can check your internet options such as you IP and Proxy with Run => cmd => ipconfig /all

Try using ping type in => Run / cmd then type: c:\ping [compname] if this doesnt work maybe something wrong with DNS? On target computer try: Run / cmd / c:\ipconfig then you see the ip of the target computer, then on the local computer try \\[ip]

Ik ben al een tijdje bezig met een unattended installatie cd te maken, en nou heb ik nog een paar fouten: 1. Als ik met de installatie begin begint hij met de resolutie aan te passen van het beeldscherm, dan duurt het weer zoveel seconde.. 2. De switch van Win DVD 5 doet het niet, ik heb em zo: ECHO.
