anyone know what might cause my cd to behave like a standard winxp cd ? i used nLite to intergrate my hotfixes and drivers and servicepacks etc and they appear to be installed but none of the information in my unattended.txt or cmdlines.txt were executed. i have done it using the unattended cd guide on here and beleive i have used it correctly , but it still dosent work. any ideas?

i think i will do that simonsays. after if fix everything else it seems to have exploded and all the icons have gone awry but i think it will work ty.

does anyone know of any sites that list all the registry keys to do with icons on a windows machine? or a program capable of doing registry searches using wildcards? because i cant find alot of the registry keys. edit:i found all the default icon keys in my registry using regmon and regsnap and a script ro parse the log file. attached the output if anyone wants it. (these are all the ones on my system atm) edit:i did find the keys. but that file isnt right. ill fix it later

mskb said to change the system color depth from current to something else and back again to rebuild the cache and it seems to work. anyone know of a way i can do this in a batch file or a way to rebuild it from a batch file.

that is how i did it though. i copyed all the icon related changes from the comparison and changed the path from the iptheme folder to my resources folder. but when ever i use my reg file it misses out the folder/drive etc icons. but when i use iconpackager it does it fine. i think its something to do with the icon cache. but i cant work out how to rebuild it withough using something like iconphile/iconpackager to do it. anyone know of a way to do it in a batch file?

ive been looking to try to install an icon package into my xp cd. ive managed to replace a load by adding refrences to my iconlibary in my registry tweaks file and the desktop icons work and a few others. but i cant get drive icons or folder icons to appear. are the folder/drive icons done differently or something. any ideas? (also a screenshot to show what i mean if its not that clear)
