  1. If the file is in use while windows is running, is it in use under safe mode? You can also right a quick script to replace the old version with the new version on startup. I don't remember how to write that type a script, but a search should be able to get that part to you.
  2. I've seen this on computers that went back to a hub, and when moving them to a switch, the problem stopped happening. Very annoying though.
  3. Opening the runtime works fine. It's files that are called in the database (pdf and xls files) which you would click on that don't open. It doesn't even try. Just says that it can't find the file. The files are clearly there as the query found them, but through access, they won't link. I'm going to try the Office Update site to see if that has anything.
  4. Don't know if this is the right place, but I've found a lot of answers here before and thank everyone for looking at my problem. I'm running Access 2002 runtime on several machines and after allowing SP2 to install via SUS I can no longer open any linked files through Access. Any new machines built with integrated SP2 work, as well as with full Access, but anyone who was upgraded to SP2 doesn't work. I did try uninstalling the runtime and re-installing it, but it didn't work. My only idea at this point is reghosting everything from an intergrated SP2 machine, but was really hoping there is some kind of patch or fix to apply to save me from a week of work. Thanks again.
