About bravotech

  1. legolash2o I'm quite convinced that's the dependency, will be trying it later tonight.
  2. It's been thru restart, yes. The firewall service was autostart to begin with. I didn't set it autostart, as you can see from session.ini no removing/tampering in that area.
  3. I just reviewed my session again and still can't find anything else that could be the cause. Can't possibly be IIS or Windows SAT... I'm beginning to be convinced WFW is dependent on ICS.
  4. I actually discovered it when I tried to enable Remote Desktop. It failed and complained that Windows Firewall is not running, therefore it cannot auto config remote desktop. Next, I confirm it is set to autostart, but currently not running. I manually start it, failed with error code 5.
  5. I created an iso using vlite 1.0 final using the session.ini below, and Vista Firewall fails to load. Service-specific error code 5. Could it be ICS that is needed? ; vLite preset file [information] Version = 1.0 on 2.0.50727.312 Microsoft Windows NT 6.0.6000.0 Target = Windows Vista BUSINESS 32bit [Compatibility] ACDSee / XnView Paint.NET Aero Glass Internet Explorer Scanners and Cameras Windows Fax and Scan [Components] ;# Accessories # Accessibility Paint Welcome Center ;# Drivers # Modems Printers-Apollo Printers-Brother Printers-Canon Printers-Citizen Printers-Dell Printers-Diconix Printers-Epson Printers-Fuji Xerox Printers-Fujitsu Printers-Generic Printers-Gestetner Printers-IBM Printers-Infotec Printers-Konica Printers-Konica Minolta Printers-Kyocera Mita Printers-Lanier Printers-Minolta Printers-Minolta-QMS Printers-NEC Printers-NRG Printers-Oce Printers-Oki Printers-Okidata Printers-Olivetti Printers-Panasonic Printers-QMS Printers-Ricoh Printers-Samsung Printers-Savin Printers-Seikosha Printers-Sharp Printers-Sony Printers-Star Printers-Tally Printers-Tektronix Printers-Wipro ePeripherals Printers-Xerox ;# Games # Inbox Games Premium Inbox Games ;# Hardware Support # Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) Smartcards ;# Languages # Japanese Korean Simplified Chinese ;# Multimedia # Movie and DVD Maker Sample Pictures Screensavers SideShow Wallpapers Windows Media Samples ;# Network # Connect to a Network Projector Internet Information Services MSN Installer ;# Services # Error Reporting Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) ;# System # Game Explorer Malicious Software Removal Tool Manual Install Natural Language ReadyBoost Security Center System Restore Tablet PC Windows Defender Windows Easy Transfer Windows SAT [Options] Hibernation = Off [Protection] [Drivers] [unattended] AcceptEULA SkipNewUser SkipProductKey SkipAutoActivation DefaultProductKey = 0
  6. morglum, Your instructions allows him to run the Remote Desktop CLIENT, but I think he wants to run the server.
  7. In XP I'm able to accomplish just that, by pre-planting 3x or 4x generic ATAPI driver files on the system, merge a registry file, then power off. Boot with the new motherboard, and it goes thru the process of detecting and the new ATAPI interface and loading drivers for it. Does anyone have the necessary .reg file for Windows 2000 to merge with? I have tried something that I read about on the 911CD forum, but it doesn't seem to work. Also, does anyone have a working process that can allow you to change the ATAPI drivers offline using DOS or Linux, as oppose to while the OS in question is up and running. on the old motherboard.
  8. I've used SWish and it seems to be nice. Didn't realize OpenOffice has flash creation capability. Will have to take a look at it when I have time. Is it possible to just install the flash program w/o the office part?
