  1. I think it already works with nlite, I don't think they changed that file with the servicepack. try it out and see if it works.
  2. drivers that use usbscan might have the same issue, but usbscan might be included even if you remove drivers, I'm not sure. I installed a usb scanner on vista with drivers from 1999, that scanner uses usbscan, but as I said it might be included anyway, you should know. Amazing that the scanner still worked, these were the drivers included on the cd that came with the scanner, the latest driver available was from 2000 and that did not work. Strange
  3. Don't remove the warning! I removed graphics drivers and installed on my laptop, then I tried to install Intels drivers and failed. I put the drivers back, reinstalled and then it worked ok. I think the same applies to some old scanners also
  4. I have two Ali 5283 sata/pata combo cards in two almost identical machines, I could try this out for both the sata and the pata controller on the cards, they have different drivers but they come in a package. newest bios 0.96D ripped from Soyos motherboard with the same chip, and drivers taken from soyos site as manufacturer is a scumbag taipei company ironiclly named double-h which could mean either lucky numbers or refer to a certain austrian fellow.
