  1. I can assure you that the link is valid and not some suspicious site. I have uploaded the image to tinypic here I'm just trying to share information about Windows 8 as I am sure many people are interested in jumping in on the beta. My intentions are not to cause any harm to anyone? Barry
  2. I was able to figure it out. Not sure why this worked but it did. I set the SATA mode to IDE, booted with a Windows 98 boot disk, ran an fdisk /mbr Next time I ran through the install, everything worked! Thanks for your assistance Barry
  3. it lets me do a custom install, i wiped out all the partitions and still no luck
  4. I was browsing around on some various forums, and someone suggested to contact the Windows Feedback Panel to get added to the Windows 8 Beta panel before it becomes publicly available. I sent an e-mail to winpanel@microsoft.com and this is the response I got from them here This looks legit. Anyone else try this???
  5. OEM keys will only work with OEM Media. As Tripredacus suggested you can try finding a vendor specific OEM install CD or try contacting Fujitsu and see if they can sell you a recovery disk.
  6. physically looks ok, the error pops up after the file copy is done and it's configuring the components....
  7. No answer file from what I'm aware. I'm using the OEM install CD from HP for Windows 7 32-bit that came with my HP Elite 8100.
  8. After getting hit with some nasty spyware I had to re-install Windows 7 from scratch. During the install I'm now randomly getting this error during the install. The weird part is that it happens randomly at different times during the install. I don't think it's the CD since its the same one I used when I first installed it. See the screen shot of the error here. Any help would be appreciated! Barry
