  1. Hello Dave-H there is a add button I know but it does not work. I have disabled my plugins in quick preferences, because then only flash and javescript seem to work. I have copied my plugins in the J:\programs\opera12\OperaPortable\App\Opera \program\plugins directory. I think what you see in Preferences/Advanced/Downloads must be in a ini I think maybe I am wrong. I have set the plugin path in operaprefs_default.ini under [uer Prefs} I also added Browser JavaScript=2. Under section [File Types] I added video/quicktime=0,,,,qt,mov,| I know there is also another ini file Operaprefsa.ini with various sections [user Prefs], [Proxy], [Disk Cache], [Extensions], [VoiceXML], [state], [install], [Auto Update], [Network], [Web Server], [Windows] [HotListWindow], [Cache], [Persistent Storage], [Matches], [File Types Section Info], [File Types], [File Types Extension], [saved Settings], [sounds],[Multimedia],[Mail],[Trusted Protocols Section Info],[Performance],[Author Display Mode], and [user Display Mode] I copied this file into the profile directory of opera portable from my previous version of opera. After turning off plugins under quick preferences I managed to use flash and javascript. I think maybe I must change a ini file to let quicktime work. I know that Opera needs to know where the plugin directory is.
  2. Forgot to tell I have no plugins enabled at all and flash and javascript work with opera 12 with kernelex 4.5.2 on windows 98. I already know what the mime type is for quicktime. But the problem is how to see it under preferences/advanced/download and how to add it there. I cannot add something. Maybe I first need to enable plugins. I will try.
  3. A time ago I installed the portable version of Opera 12 on Windows 98 with kernelex 4.5.2 installed. I renamed the plugin wrapper to something else. Flash works very well without the plugin wrapper and Javascript works also. I am trying to let quicktime work now. I see no mime type for it in preferences advanced download. So I tried to add one. But I could not add anything. So I am trying now to change the opera preferences in the ini file. does anyone how to do this. I already have changed operaprefs.ini. Or operaprefs_default.ini. Does anyone know which ini file I have to change ?
  4. I tried to run Firefox 14.01 portable with kernelex 4.5.2 on windows 98 I got a missing import function from kernel32.dll. When I checked with Dependency walker you could see there are several import and export functions missing.
  5. Missing in and export functions from msvcr100.dll
  6. Hello there. I installed Firefox 14.01 portable. There is a problem with dll files msvcr100.dlland msvcp100.dll just as with the palemoon versions. I checked with Dependency walker there are missing import and export functions to kernel32.dll.
  7. I saw I made a mistake: It must be same question with t 5 And different users use different version of dll files or system files. So it will be different for each user.
  8. Hey Jumper I had to add [Winspool.drv] GetPrinterDataExW=t7 [ole32.dll] CoWaitForMultipleHandles=t5 to stubs.ini, but what means t7 and how do you know you have to add t7, same question with t7. Seems to me that each addition can be different for every other person. Because for instance one program will run for me maybe, but not for everybody else. Otherwise people should use the same dll's and other system files.
  9. I have the portable version from foxit reader 5x. running. I checked foxit reader.exe I did not get a problem running it. I checked it with dependency walker, Winspool.drv = GetPrinterDataExW seems to be a problem ole32.dll = CoWaitForMultipleHandles seems to be a problem and there are more. But how can I use this with stubs.ini
  10. I have the portable version off Foxit Reader 5.x running here IPHLPAPI.dll does not give a problem here. I checked it with dependency walker. Maybe you could also check it.
  11. Hello Schwups. There is another method rename NPSWF32_11_3_300_265.dll to NPSWF32.dll and add NPSWF32.dll to the plugin directory of Kmeleon Firefox or Opera or what ever other browser you use then Internet explorer and flash works.
  12. Hello my friend schwups I really agree with you.
  13. I off course meant service releases of the 10 versions of Firefox.
  14. Hello. Well I just tried the portable versions of Firefox 9.01 and 10.02 with kernelex 4.5.2. on windows 98 se. I have not watched the kernelex wiki. I think every version 10.02 amd service releases of Firefox will work as 10.02. Firefox 11 and up do not work they give the same problems as some versions of Palemoon. I am just waiting for newer releases to try out.
  15. Sumo: Software Update Monitor is still compatible with windows 98 Download at: http://www.kcsoftwares.com/index.php?download
  16. Hello there. Well I tried some things with Opera 12 portable. I am working with kernelex 4.5.2 and windows 98se. I disabled plugins and delet deleted the plugin wrapper. And flash worked. Of course I watched the plugin path with opera:config. The rest of the plugins did not work.
  17. I installed opera 12 portable renamed the plugin wrapper and did something with the plug in settings and flash worked I have not written it down sorry. But soon as I have the time I will come back to write it here. I think that other plugins worked also. I have not checked yet. Because I did not have the time.
  18. Something positive Palemoon 3.6.32 can be downloaded. From www.palemoon.org .
  19. I tried Firefox 13 portable it did not wanted to start. I think they are going the same way as with palemoon, because msvcm80.dll and msvcp80.dll are replaced in firefox 13 with msvcm100.dll and msvcp100.dll these dll's are incompatible with windows 98 even with kernelex 4.5.2. Firefox 11 and 12 portable start because they use msvcm80.dll and msvcp80.dll. They start, but they end my applications that are in the systray. And then windows crashes.
  20. Hello there I have two windows 98 computers with a wireless adsl connection. I searched first on the Internet what I could and which could work with my adsl modem a speedtouch modem. I use two usb conceptronic adapters. I tried to install them with the cdrom but it did not work. Then I found out that I had to use drivers of ralink. So I searched at the site of Ralink the drivers for windows 98, I installed them and it worked.
  21. Hello I tried the latest portable version of foxit reader and I get no error thanks for the tip for winhttp.dll.
  22. Hello Frogman you should change the properties of the opera setup exe file under the kernelex tab to win 2000 sp4 and then it works.
  23. Hello Leo I just unpacked tge 7zip file and chanced the properties under the kernelex tab to windows 2000 sp4 compatible. I only have to say that it is very strange because the first time I did this everything worked find with gmail. For instance when you email more then once to one person you could open them with one click. But I wanted to change something so I deleted the k-meleon directory and unpacked everything for a second time and now it does not seem to work anymore. I have no time now to find out why it did not work again.
