Hi all, Does anyone know how to remove "Set As Desktop Background" Context Menu in XP? Some people just set the pictures (jpeg,gif etc) that are nasty as background of the desktop which is harmful to children. How can we remove it? I need help...this should run in xp sp2. I have a code but it runs in win2000 only...thanks to all!

Hello...I have some problems with my LAN Card (3com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI for Complete Management) because the device wont start and I cannot connect the PC to the network. but the driver is installed. very weird though but I hope there is a solution to this. Thanks alot.

Hi I suggest you try to seal your hard drive in a plastic so that water will not condense and put it in a freezer for like 2 days. I'm sure its going to be detected in the bios and and will still give you little time to recover all your files. Its based on my experience so try it theres no harm in trying. Good Luck and Regards.

Try checking your hardware BIOS under USB support maybe its disabled. If it doesnt work. try re-installing a new USB driver in your PC buy putting ur drive into another PC and install the driver of d keybord and mouse.

Hello all! I'm trying to use remote shutdown tool in windows xp 'shutdown.exe' but it doesnt work even if im logged in as administrator in local computer. I try to execute shutdown -s -m \\computername -t 03 and an error occurs which says 'ACCESS DENIED'. How can I fix this error. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks alot to all members.

Hi I am trying to shutdown computers in the LAN running winXP sp2 and win2000 sp4 but shutdown.exe tool doesnt work at all. I cant shutdown down remotely even if I try the same OS. It appears "The network path was not found" though I supplied the right username and sometimes I use \\ipaddress heres my script shutdown -s -m \\computername -t 00 -c "comment" whats wrong with this? do i still have to run some services or configure the LAN PC to accept shutdown? sometimes it would say "Access Denied" but I'm using the same admin local account for all the PC. pls help and advice me...thanks alot to all!!!

yes, I am sir.why was it?have any idea?and also most of the PC in our LAN has dcom problems...it shutdowns in 60 seconds with the message DCOM process launcher stop...i just type shutdown -a it aborts the shut down but after how many minutes it goes back again.

Hello, Id like to know why my PC has an error in command prompt and in my explorer...I tried to format a floppy drive but it says "You do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation" and when I try to format using command prompt it says " 'format' is not recognize as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." have any idea? pls help... error1.bmp

Hello guys, I have a problem with one of the PC in my network! It shuts down everytime I boot up and displays an error message "System will be shut down Error on DCOM Service etcc....blah..blaah" any idea? pls help....

going to system32 and double click ipconfig.exe, ipconfig appears but it disappears immediately and i cant even see the data or information it displays. why is this so...i tried in other PCs but with them, ipconfig stays and displays all the information I need like DNS, default gateway etc...

it displays d window like using ping but disappears immediately i couldnt even read the ip addresses!

Wassup, I have a problem with my ccproxy. I downloaded this software with a keygen and yet it doesnt support more than 3 computer.why is this so? Its easy to configure but when I start to connect more than one PC it has an error message like "too many users". Well what I wanted is to control each PC with their bandwidth and also filter some sites. Can you give me any idea on this? ccproxy has this feature.

Hi guys...I have a problem with one of the computers in my class. when the PC is idle for about 3 minutes, It locks and asks for control-alt-del and then ask for the password.can I remove this so that it wont bother again?
