Hi myselfidem, what for? I didn't removed this time MS Mail and MSN Explorer in section "Network". And NOW when I read the english language there is "Needed for: Sending to Desktop context menu option" WAHA - this is NOT in the german translation and I need to use nLite in german because my english is so lousy as you saw in this thread. Also in the english language it is called "MSMail and MAPI" - in german it is only called "MSMail" ;-(( boah ey Ups, it is mentioned there in the german version....sorrysorrysorry

I presume, that it is maybe a combination of some things. Is it ok, if somebody post the ... solving (correct word?)... upstairs to my first question, so everyone looking for the same problem will read it immediately? including the presume, that it is maybe a combination of different things? hi GroftLuigi - I didn't remove anything from outlook express (I don't like it but I use it, all other tried mail-clients are much worser than this and so I don't use a good one, but the "lessest bad") and the "Send to email"-thing is there, not disapeared. But however, with the next windows version (right now in work) I will try your hint. This will be maybe in an half an hour or so. The only "Mail"-Thing I kicked, was "MSMail" but this I kick out since a long time and the problem don't happen. I will tell here when done. Till then: also to you thank you Creatura

hi -X- und wb myselfidem (interpretiere ich die Flagge korrekt als Schweiz?)... ok: -X-, I tried yours - it doesn't work - sorry but thank you also very much and myselfidem: please let me quote myself: this is the same, just with lesser words (and btw: I also found in my search this ms-support page) it is really very kind how intense you try to help me. Let me tell you what I tried out in the last hours (and 10 burned CDs) since your posts before: I installed as test a almost untouched Win (just the AHCI and Chip-driver - sure) - the desklink was there where he should be than I "touched" softly the Win (not too much) and - bingo - it was gone. I have now about - uff - 30? 40? possibilities, which one is the pain in the a**. Since I found this out, I make Win-Installations with lesser and lesser touchings, till I catch this evil thing. (and yes, every fresh Try is made with the original win from before - I'm not THAT blond ). This is a better situation than before, because when I checked the Problem I had made heavy "touchings" and thought, I need to check out EVERYTHING (which means 70 or more installations). I'm lucky that I had the problem with the first try, so the possibilities are reduced But now it is 2:16 am my time and I need to sleep. wow, what a cool site but it will take me years founding out if (if!) there is the information I'm looking for but this side is very very cool and when I'm through with my problem I will have a very intensive look for it. *sigh* I thought here in the nLite-Forum there are users which know the problem and solved it already If Dino wouldn't be - surely - a very busy man i would try to email him but I guess he has enough to do without my crying for help - for sure HE would know the answer :-) Dino is not God but very close to it :-)

how do i try... erm... I rightclick on any file and click [send to] and look what appears - how else I should try it? This is the onliest way i know how to find out and this is as far as I know the daily routine to use this thing - ... greetz

erm... why? the folder is there - also the shortcuts are in there (including my Desktio.Desklink-Shortcut) it is just only not to see when I try to use it. All other shortcuts are there (like send to email, send to.. uff how it is called in english... my own documents? also if I plug an external HDD the link appears) the *.desklink thing is there but not to see

hehe sorry but this Default User is already out of my plan - even if this should work it wouldn be a solution for me . since years I clean not only with nLite but also manually EVERYthing out what don't pay the rent . and there is a LOT you can remove without any Problems. nLite is always just Step 1 -than came Step 2: XPlite, than came Step 3: manually and so on - if everything works, I need 3-5 days to make my PC fresh And surely I have setted, that everything is to see, no files hidden, no extensions hidden, etc. - this is the first thing to do on a fresh made PC

I will try your reg-thing out (and immediately post the result here) - are you sure you took this reg-key from XP and not from Win 7 as I have read, that you are a win 7 User? Anyhow it would be great if anybody could tell me, from which application, service, .... whatever... this thing is dependent - so in the next eNlited Win XP I just don't throw this thing out - should be the easiest way Back in 5 Minutes and tell the result of your Reg-Key greetz fly out to you and - anyway if it works or not - thanky you for trying it Creatura

Hi People, as a lot of users in the internet mentioned, my "Send to Desktop as Link" (or however it is called in english) is gone with the wind. Allover you can read the Solution: make a new empty file, call it "Sendto Desktop.desklink" or whatever but this doesn't work. So I guess, that this function is depending on s.o.m.e.t.h.i.n.g. else in Windowsenceless, which I removed with nLite - but there is no way to find out WHAT. It is maybe a Service, an application... Is anybody out there who have a tipp for me? my life is in the moment not very easy because I try to change my new Laptop (Win 7, 64Bit) into an Old Style Win XP Pro, 32Bit-Thing (everything works almost fine after 20 or 25 versions but there is still THIS Problem) (and please no comments like "why you wanna do so, take Win 7 it is great etc.) I don't want Win 7, end of the story. I use XP till I die (was a joke, in 2 or 3 years there will be no way around this bastardious thing) also my Problem doesn't depend on this new machine - I had it a couple of years ago already on an elder machine. at least: please forgive me my lousy english - I never learned it in school. I use nLite and I use it private in my home - if (and I repeat it again: IF) my Company also use it, than it is not my problem or do you think I'm the boss there? and again the Quote youself quoted: yes sure Ponch, but I also wrote: who knows? hi and thanks Sp0iLedBrAt, this was exactly what I want to know. In the Version where the Drivers are already in... I can delete the drivers entry in the last session or whatever session I use now (I do it not by hand in the sessoin.ini but via the UI in the related part of nLite - the moe easier way) so you switch my 98% YES in the moment to 100% thank you Sire :-)

Hi Ponch, this NO now wondering me a little bit - if I have a already worked Win, than the orders in this session take response to what I did - for example: I made a version including my drivers and, let's say... I remove MS Mail - ok so far in the next Version I work with must the drivers be included - otherwise nLite would be totally senseless. And the MS Mail must be gone. So what is the problem when in the last session for example is chossen: remove MS mail? There is no MS Mail no more wich could be removed. But ok Ponch, I will try with a fresh everything in each version. I guess you know much bettern than me whats up :-) (btw,i'm german and so please forgive me my lousy english). But! But for example if I choose somthing which will not get removed, but only setted? like for example: I choose in one Version to let me see the Explorer files as Details and not as thumbs. Does nLite realize, that in the version this thing is already done? nLite has TOOO much possibilites to remember each little setting which was the reason for work with the "last session" (I always save my sessions under different namens e.g. Version-1 Lite, Version-2 more out, Version-3 multiout, Version-4 finalversion) Each Verson exists only one time. When it is ready, I copy it to another folder and leave the version as it is. The next Step/Version will than be made with the copy under a different name, different sesssion-file etc. However: the already made and compiled changes MUST be in already - also the Drivers eg. - so it can't be necessary, that the Drivers must be added again and again. thank you all for your kind help

hi Johnhc, first of all, thank you for this fast answer. I have read in a german thread (Multi-sessions of nLite) that this Guy which give a very detailled "How To", always prepair everything - he was saying: first everything in, than everything out. So I try in the last days also "step-by-step" and reduce Win (starting with a full fresh, untouched) in several steps - if nLite really work, than all the changes must be in the respective actual version/step - this one copying and take as base for the next steps, and so on. I guess my question was so 'basically' and not specified for a special problem, that it is not necessary to post a session-file - what will you find out in it which helps for answering this question? and also it is german - not everyones language but however johnhc - thanks for trying to help

(again) Hi Folks, there is one Question I really would like to be answered "once and forever for sure": Example: I take my (original and untouched) Win-CD and integrate my Drivers into it (GraphicCard, Chip, AHCI, etc.) directly after this I compile and have now the same Win than before, just included my Driver. THIS new Version now I copy and start work again on it: I load either Last_Session or my own saved however called Session. Because there is now all informations included I inserted before, surely also the drivers are still in the List. But this Version should have however this drivers already included. Is it ok to empty this Driver-List or not? (the same to Hotfixes, SPs, and especially for the themes *, etc.) My guess is YES and I'm 98% sure but, please forgive me that I ask here for go sure 100% (*) I added two themes in the first session (the one with the drivers) and always when compiling afterwards versions, it tell me "Luna.theme is already included and will be skipped" - this is ok and no problem to understand - I just wonder, because I insertet not original Luna but a changed Luna wich I gave a different Name. Also it never tell me the same for my other inserted theme - this is the reason, what makes me unsure with this topic. Thank you all Creatura of the Day

This is a very clear, simple and easy to understand answer. Thank you very much for this. Even if it cannot fix my Problem, it is also good to know, that there is no solution at all - whicht saves me a lot of "research-time" in the Internet. Especially for this I will thank you also PS: nLite is a wonderful, genius Programm in any way - I know about and test it out since 3 Days but I LOVE it already. I only wished, there were some more german hints ;-( in some things I totally not know what they mean for the system (and so - sure - I don't touch them). Thank you for answering again. #1 it is a very fast "shoot out of the hep"-Desicion, that I use warez because the original is not available. I'm sure you know about corporated Versions and those you get from your Boss. I have my own bought licensed Win XP/SP3 but I prefer the Companys one, because I don't have the WPA-Stuff with this. And, who knows? Maybe they also use nLite? # yes, that issue (?) with the Explorer startet... is well known but how this shall influence the installation-process on his very beginning (shortly after: choose the Partition or HDD you will install Windows)

#1 my Windows (XP incl. SP3) COME with the IE8 - otherwise I wouldn't try to remove him (it is an already modified version, and the original is not avaliable for me) #2 if you think my german language file can help - ok, here it is: Letzte Session (205603.27-12.41.20).ini #3 Sure I tried only to remove the IE himself and not the IE Core (I was reading every hint at every point very carefully as far as they exist) #4 Thank you for trying to help me
