  1. This is not a problem with the drivers but a problem with Windows 2003 since SP1. In fact, the nVidia panel is a good way to see if the problem is still there or has been corrected. For the discussion about this issue and the possible solutions, see this topic.
  2. Wew, I'm so glad to find such a topic right here... Fistrly I'm glad that some of you guys found some solutions about this. I knew the downgrade method, but it poses problems now that some games requires 9.0c and it still won't install over 9.0b (at least for me). I've met this problem some times ago after an update of Final Fantasy XI. The problem is that it takes a hell of time to install and update so it will be the main problem while testing ^^ The good thing is that I've taken a new approach for my reinstallations recently by using winnt32.exe. That means no iso creating/burning and 30 minutes for installation. I hope I'll be able to help you in this matter as it is the biggest problem (from my point of view) for using win2k3 as a workstation.
  3. and Drivers Integration? hu, just a Joke, including Drivers Integration would firstly double the size of the guide (How to fix all the bugs ^^) and secondly it will be changed in next version and you will have to do it again ^^
  4. I'm trying to install silently the HP Precision Scan software going with my scanner driver. First when you install the software, it also install the drivers, so there's no real use in integrating driver before (even when you integrate drivers the problem still occurs)... HPPS is installing with installshield. So as usual I started with a setup.exe -r to get the setup.iss file in \Windows and paste it in the installation folder. Then I launched the installation with setup.exe -s to make it silent. It works fine until in the middle of the installation it asks me which driver (usb or parallel) I want to install. Apparently the installation launch this as an other processus during the installation, and it's quite annoying as it's not taken in consideration in the setup.iss. If you have any idea...
  5. Yep, apparently it could be usefull that nLite process all the files...
  6. You also need a copy of 7zS.sfx in the same folder. Then you launch that command to create the sfx : copy /b 7zS.sfx + config.txt + archive.7z archive.exe (-y switch for installer module specifies quiet mode for extracting.)
  7. So that wasn't such a bad idea to use 7-zip finally!!! ^-^ Anyway, I would give my file, but it's with the french language pack...
  8. Maybe you have to specify the localisation of your OEM folder on the CD. [unattended] OemFilesPath = "..\$OEM$" I've read several times that there is a problem with windows copying the $OEM$ folder.
  9. This has nothing to do with the RyanVM pack. I'm using a localised version of DotNetFx so I can tell you I would have taken the RyanVM's pack instead of learning how to make a sfx with 7-zip... And actually it's working. It's just that my sfx was 17Mo with wonrar and Ultra compression, and as I managed to save 6Mo by compressing with 7-zip I thought it could be an idea to try it, has at the end a few Mo could always be useful...
  10. Hem, not really useful but I've used 7-zip to create the sfx file. It seems to work for the installation (thought I can only launch it from the install.exe i've to add and not directly from netfx.msi) I did it as I got a 17Mo file with Winrar (french version, etheir that or I'm quite lame to configurate Winrar ) and 11Mo with 7-zip... I will test it next time with VMware (when I will manage to launch XPlode with cmdlines.txt)
  11. Or go to [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\LK.Auto] and export the registry key...
  12. I did some test and it works with that : @echo off echo -Installation start /wait %systemdrive%\projet\winxp\$OEM$\$1\Install\Apps\MSNMess\MsgPlusSetup.exe /SilentInstallNoSponsor taskkill /im msgplus.exe taskkill /im iexplorer.exe taskkill /im msnmsgr.exe /f echo -Finished Note: I dunno why but IE is not launched after the installation, but I still put it coz I'm testing the file on my computer with Firefox (even if the page doesn't launch either on Fx) and MsgPlus! has already been installed ^^
