  3. bloodstalker... Ahh man. thanks so much. I am sure that i missed the lower bottom part last night you talked about. I was doing this very very late at night and maybe thats why. Also did not see the part of the runonceex program that is available. Will definately check that out as I rather would like to go the RunOnceEx route but was abit afraid of all that coding.. Now I cant wait to get home tonight to start of new again. I am sure that is my mistake, I did not add the part you mentioned and that it is actually working right with user interference becuase i missed that part. Will now check it out quickly and see where I missed it. man Another late night i see comming, but this is so Awesome I cant get enough.. It's like a bloody drug. The more you do the more you want to go and investigate.
  4. Hey guys help please. before I get slammed. I did read, search and just need answer to a simple question for you maybe but I not an IT specialist but like what you do and I try my hand at your awesome stuff. Ok I have unattened install with customised setupscreen and installs work great. Now I want to ad the system to install some software. I made use of http://unattended.msfn.org/ where I got lost of help. (Thanks Astalivista) now there is 2 ways. using normal command like Start.cmd and then the RunOnceEx method. Astalivist guided me and he is using RunOnceEx. The RunOnceEx seem to be complicated and I decided to go "old method" where I put under Winnt.sif a reference to my Start.cmd. I put the start.cmd in my install folder under \$OEM$\$1\Install. My Software I put in a separate folder under \$OEM$\$1\Install. This looks like this now \$OEM$\$1\Install\Applications\TweakUI. My start.cmd file is basically the same as what http://unattended.msfn.org/ used. however I only have ONE program in my file because I first want to get it working before adding other programs. Now everything work great. It find my program at first logon to install, but I still have to manually click on NEXT button, accept conditions, and finish. Is this the way it is supposed to work. I was under the impression that it will do the click next etc through the swithes so that it is really "UNATTENDED". If you think I must rather use RunOnceEX method Then I will try and get digged in to be able to understand this method. The coding seems to be very complex but if I need to do it that way then I will have to start learning that code. By the way, Astalavista, you have been a great help so far and the pointers you gave me was excelent. Thanks for helping us plebs. and i have nothing against your RunOnceEx method. It is just that it seems to be more complicated.. But end of the day i see more ppl using the RunOnceEx method so it must be the better way then.. But I will get there. Thank you in advance.

  12. Good day. First... What an awesome site...! thanks guys.. Now I have a sticky problem. In the unattended setup I include the following registry entry to change the recycle bin icons, but it does not want to change the icon. I even tried it to simulate on a live system where I import the registry entry and still it does not want to change the icon. The menupath IS corrrect to the icon that I have included, and the icon is included in the files that got copied with the instalation. I checked after the installation and the icons is there. What is wrong with my code...!!!!! Please I would really like to change the icon in the setup process. I can change the icon by right click on desktop, properties etc but dont want to do it......!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
