this works very well 7zip packed drivers.. and it speed upinstalling windows if you have a lot of drivers.

Yes there is another way too.

Just use the graphical mode extractor - make it an SFX archive when you compress.

there's a tool on your xp install called makecab.exe you can use that if you want to create cabs in that fashion

just go to a command line and try makecab and you'll see it
