Did you add update WindowsXP-KB954708-x86-PLK.exe to your file checker?? I don't see this update on your list.
-
And if you install it you see shell-version 6.0 with protocoll version 6.1? If so, all is good and no new option is needed. But I added some lines for RDC5 in the file-checker to report these updates (at the moment only KB958469) as "wrong" instead of "unknown" Yeah, I see exactly that version
-
I noticed something new about my RDC - on ISO mstsc.exe have version 5.1.2600.0, but after installation it has version 6.0.6001.18000 EDIT: I found on ISO that second mstsc.exe is a lhmstsc.ex_, so in fact I have two versions on ISO - 5.1 and 6.0
-
I don't think so. I've also a XP-SP3-ISO from MSDN (VLK). I don't know what I should think about it... Why MS released two different versions of XP SP3? Do you understand the table under KB offer matrix based on the RDC version and platforms in the KB-article ? I understand that table - I've just thinking about that strange situation.

Such an ISO I do also have. Magic. I installed this plain ISO to check whats inside and I have RDP 6.1. Do you understand this?--- I've checked the plain XP/SP3 again --> RDP 6.1 Looked into KB958469 under KB offer matrix based on the RDC version and platforms it seems that are different "Windows with SP3"-versions available. If I understand that right. Probably depending on the language? Very funny... For the file-checker I thought RDP is already included. Wht's the truth now???? I have VLK version, maybe that's the problem??
-
Hmm... is this really missing? In the Bulletin Article says it's for RDP 5.2 but SP3 includes RDP 6.1. Is 5.2 also in a system with SP3? I will check it. Strange, in my ISO from MSDN I have RDP 5.1 Is your ISO from MSDN XP w/o any SP? But with SP3 your version of RDP should be 6.1 (either included in the ISO/source or via slipstreaming of KB936929).Is your source XP w/o any SP? Mimo My ISO is XP SP3 VLK from MSDN.

I've found another updates which are identified as unknown: unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB954708-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB958469-x86-PLK.exe
-
missing (O): HF\WindowsXP-KB914440-v12-x86-PLK.exe (Network Diagnostic Tool) This update is already included in SP3.

I have these two updates in HF directory and KB973687 doesn't overwrite the newer msxml6.dll - KB973686 is slipstreamed after KB973687 because of the name of the first one (msxml6-KB973686-enu-x86.exe). I have msxml6.dll 6.20.2003.0. hi Parseus! partly the reason why i brought this up was because mine in system32 has msxml6.dll 6.20.1103.0 which comes from KB973687 so i'm thinking it could've overwritten what KB973686, specifically what SP3 has. i'm thinking though that hfslip would not allow that to happen since afaik it only takes in the newer ver (either based on time-stamp or ver #) to the new iso. i'm baffled as to why i have an older ver though. in your case though, it's kinda odd since if your premise is alphabetical integration, then msxml6-KB973686-enu-x86.exe gets processed 1st compared to WindowsXP-KB973687-x86-ENU.exe. may i ask too why you have both in HF as KB97386 was shipped with sp3? perhaps, then with your setup we must still integrate KB97386 to end up with newer msmxl6.dll. i'm hoping we can all get clarity on this (perhaps an update to Mim0's table or comments from other members who have more definitive resolution). cheers! MSXML updates (which have msxml*- in name) are slipstreamed in HFSLIP after updates which have WindowsXP- in their names: Slipstreaming Service Pack --> Slipstreaming WMP --> Slipstreaming Windows updates --> Slipstreaming IE updates ---> Slipstreaming Windows Update Agent 3.0 --> Slipstreaming Windows Installer 4.5 --> Slipstreaming HFCABS files --> Slipstreaming MSXML --> Slipstreaming DX 9.0c

From Your list: msxml6-KB973686-enu-x86.exe (only in English) That update it's not available only in English, it has also few localizations.

Thx for reporting this. It seems that KB905474 is available only in English. See here.Regarding this I would say I have define this independent from the language in the file-checker. But you have a Hungarian version. Where did you get this? Mimo You can get other languages of this update by downloading it via WU and searching for its adress in WindowsUpdate.log.

I've found another updates that are listed as unknown: Check for wrong, obsolete and unknown updates: ---------------------------------------------- unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB932716-v2-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB949269-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB951618-v2-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB953979-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB955417-x86-PLK.exe KB932716-v2 is an optional IMAPI update IIRC.
-
So, can we put it to HF now without any problems??
-
Isn't it easier to put it to HFSVCPACK_SW1 instead of renaming it? Or is the result "better" when it's in HF? When you put this update to HFSVCPACK_SW1 it's installed in T-13. When you put it to HF and rename it, it'll be slipstreamed directly as the most of updates.
-
Yeah, I know about it, but Mimo's list isn't bad at all and sometimes it can be useful But if you know a better list then write about it, it would be very helpful
-
hi! if this should be done, specific note must be posted as this deviates from what ms offered as the exact downloadable filename. thanks! Yeah, too bad that the same thing doesn't work for IMAPI_XP_SRV2003_x86.exe I've just used informations from that topic EDIT: I didn't notice it before, but XMLLite slipstreaming doesn't work for XP with SP3 in HFSLIP (it shows 0 files copied)

I've also found this: Check for wrong, obsolete and unknown updates: ---------------------------------------------- unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb928788-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb929773-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb932390-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb933547-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb935551-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb935552-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb939209-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb944882-x86-intl.exe unknown: HF\windowsmedia11-kb954069-x86-intl.exe These updates are optional fixes for WMP11, can you add these to Your list? I have also few suggestions for Your list: - add to Your list IMAPI_XP_SRV2003_x86.exe (article KB952011) - this is an optional "Image Mastering API Update for Blu-Ray Media" (folder for this update: HFSVCPACK_SW1); - change article for SmartCard_XP_x86.exe to KB952013 and change folder to HF/HFSVCPACK_SW1 (you can put this update to HF, if you rename it to WindowsXP-KB952013-x86-lang.exe); - for WindowsXP-KB968930-x86-ENG.exe change folder to HF - putting it in HF works in 100% for me.

The newest version of HFSLIPFC still shows some updates as unknown: Check for wrong, obsolete and unknown updates: ---------------------------------------------- unknown: HF\windows-kb890830-v3.2.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB898461-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB915865-v11-x86-PLK.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB958655-v2-x86-ENU.exe unknown: HF\WindowsXP-KB961118-x86-PLK.exe Check missing updates for Windows XP SP3: ----------------------------------------- missing (O): HF\WindowsXP-KB915865-v11-x86-ENU.exe (XMLLite) As you can see from my log, I have Polish version of XMLLite, but it's listed as unknown. KB958655-v2 is also listed as unknown (it's optional update for Windows Installer 4.5 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958655/en-us)
-
I suppose you put your XP into REPLACE\I386.You have to move it to SOURCE directory.
-
I've run HFSLIPFC and I found this: That MSXML4 hotfix is not available in Polish.
-
For this update it should be HF (if you rename this update to WindowsXP-KB952013-x86-xxx.exe; xxx - language) or HFSVCPACK_SW1.
