  1. Some of the services should be left in automatic mode. DHCP, dnscashe etc. This are tcpip services. If you want a possible explaination of services then check out http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm .
  2. Opera bookmarks are not compatible with I.E. Why I do not use Opera. Saw a mention at their forum on this. A reply was why should Opera fix it, I.E. should change to import Opera bookmarks? I think it is a feature packed browser, but I will not use it if it will not blend with it's environment. You may need to manually copy each favorite site over. Maxthon is a better browser!

  12. A patch alters files as this process does. Slipstream just inserts new files. do you agree. .msp is a Microsoft Patch file.
  13. This is patch process? You are patching the msi file and any files associated with it?
  14. Can you show your winnt.sif, please.
  15. /I386 /$OEM$/$1/$drivers/NIC yes, like this.
  16. I agree. Look under system32 directory. Inspect $oem$.inf file for what setup saw of your winnt.sif. See if AutomaticUpdates= ? in there.
  17. Even if you have no winnt.sif, cmdlines.txt will still be processed. $oem$ must be in the same directory as i386 directory?
  18. t-39 is straight after textmode and the start of gui setup. *.bat is a bat file. Call it from winnt.sif. Fixes driver signing problems? Ok?
