I hate Firefox ^^ but thanks anyway. And I have Win 7 64bit, so MCEBrowser won't work :/ Plus it's probably a bit aged and not up to date for the new standards. (Unless it uses the installed version of IE)

I'd like something to browse the web on my media center, without killing my eyes or having to be at 1m of the screen. Is there any Media Center plugin ? Any tricks on a regular browser to make it comfortable on a Media Center ? EDIT : found out I could make the icons bigger on Opera. And I fixed the defaut zoom to 120%. It's better but my eyes suck so... I need a bigger TV screen :/

I would like to know if there is a way to open a remote desktop connection to a session B on a remote computer, without closing session A opened on this computer. When I searched on Google I saw that there was a patch for XP but I didn't see anything for Seven. Is there a way ?

I'm working on a live, and I'm going to play it using my laptop, but since it's not very powerful, I would like to make it run as few services and programs as possible, and possibly even make a session that would directly open Ableton Live without all the explorer.exe stuff, but keeping a regular session with all the usual stuff. Is that possible ?

I was wondering how Win 7 handle this. What does it load in the memory ? The most frequently used programs, so that they start faster ?

I'm having a bit of an annoying problem : anytime I copy a file on my videos library (so that I can watch it on my TV), it does not appear in the sharing... I have to reboot and then I can see it. The problem is, it's on my server and I don't want to reboot it everytime I want to watch something. I was having the same problem on my other computer, and I was not having the problem on my server on my previous Windows 7 install. Any idea ?

Here are a few more quick places to check. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMP11.AssocFile.MP3 HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mp3\OpenWithList nailed it I changed "Play" to "Enqueue" on WMP11.AssocFile.MP3.

I understand, but still, they could have let the option. And Windows Home Server is based on Windows Server 2003, which is 6 years old now.

Hi all. I used to have Win XP 64bits on my computer a few years ago. And I quickly switched back to the regular version because of a lot of my peripherals had no drivers for XP 64, and it kept on BSoD and having other problems. Now I'm on Windows 7, and just want to switch back to XP for a while. But, I have 5GB of RAM, and would like it to be useful. I've been reading about PAE on XP 32 bits but apparently it's a dead-end. So the only solution left is XP 64 bits, but I'm affraid that I will have all these problems again. What's your experience ? Does it work good on your computer ?

Problem solved, I started in Safe Mode and could switch the read only mode off. But still, how did my whole drive went in read only mode ?

Actually, my whole partition is in read only... What the hell ?

I use Symantec Antivirus Corporate. It's light, really efficient, and I never had any problems/viruses in the last 2 years with it.

Ok, sorry about that. But I'm using a valid and legal key, and the iso is the same on msdn so I guess it's like making a backup copy for yourself, it's not illegal... Anyway it finally worked yesterday, so thanks a lot for all your help. I think I'll stick around here for more help if I have other problems
