Chimaera

Hey all Not been able to resolve this problem so i thought i would see what you guys think. On my network i have 2 pcs hard wired to a Netgear WNR2000 router and also 2 laptops, both recent less than a year old probably on the wireless The 2 hard wired machines and one of the laptops are all on windows 7 but the last laptop is the problem Its running windows vista For no reason at all it loses the wireless and gets a yellow triangle and she cannot get back on unless i reset the router. For info i have replaced the router with an identical one i have made sure she is upgraded with all updates and have got her the latest wireless drivers. Router firmware is the latest Ive tried renaming the SSID, rebooted all machines and re added to network and she failed after less than a day Things that can contribute to it happening If i leave my master wired pc idling for long periods of time, this seems to trigger it for some reason but i cant fathom why This is a really annoying issue that i cant seem to resolve Any suggestions?

Personally and this would apply to any OS, would you want left over bits from other hardware buried in windows possibly slowing things down or conflicting. I really cant see how people say its a hassle to do a format reinstall in windows. Jesus im in the thousands by now as i do a lot for work The biggest part of doing a format is being organised, having all your programs / drivers and everything you need ready to go as soon as the Os hits the ground running. I use a cmd file at work that i wrote to silent install all the programs i need and update them when its finished, so you just set it going and its done in a bout 10 mins Its only as diffucult as you make it!!

I personally think the issue here is more about choice than anything. M/S know thousands of people use classic so it should have been there as a choice with the other choices like aero. For those of us who prefer classic style , it is our choice....hell i dont even have desktop wallpaper half the time. I just want it clean and simple with all the b###sh#t turned off so i have a system that works and does what i tell it to... Not that M/S ever listen but stop trying to panic manouver yourself just becasuse google decide to write an o/s, cheaper editions before release indeed lol and free versions for picture partys, grief M/S get a grip and sit down and get on with the O/s and stop worrying about google, cos no matter what happens people will vote with their feet. Its their Choice!!
