My x64 iso is 1,5Gb but is a home basic. For me the best to tweak andis a iso that i use now.

The cache take more space in the hard drive . My personal choice is that would be removed more as possible. I think that is constantly improved but it wants small steps.

Seem to be a erroneus format.Never seen. So i'm lucky . Removing a winsxs cache is a thing that should be made carefully because is a very delicate action. .When i have used Vlite for remove the cache of seven, the procedure works fine but i must removes a pending.xml file manually. Otherwise the setup will breaks. But if i remove the xml file, with vilte on seven,the residual size of the cache folder is about 200mb. But i don't think that is correlate at your "framework" issue.

Maybe no one will respond because you know just what you need or not. . Telnet is NOT a basic function for the operating system. Its removal should not create any problem. Remove the server will prevent that we can connect to your PC using this protocol (improve security) . If you also remove the client, you can not connect to any machine that has a telnet server running.

Why do you have removed the service instead disable? I don't remove nothing but only disable. If you disable it can be re-enable but once removed you cannot re-enable. I'm sorry but o don't use a original Messenger but you can repeat the tweak , trying ti disable instead remove. I think that is a good way to resolve or atleast to try.

When it comes to reducing the operating system, I think it is useful to specify that 32 or 64bit. A sysop 64bit can not be reduced as a 32bit. Unless you remove the framework , will be very difficult to go below 1.2-1.4GB for a 64bit without losing important features that should inevitably reinstalled. Maybe you can increase the size of the winsxs folder and the folder driverstore. In my case I have managed to bring a sysop 64bit less than 4gb installed . I like to reduce it more, but for now (well in the future) I doubt that there may be further large reductions.

Basically I used the advanced preset and successively unselect what I needed. But I was convinced that it had no deleted driver and disk . Anyway now back to monitor.
