Hey Bashrat, You updated: Promise Ultra Controllers driver from 05/16/2003, 2.0.0.43 to 06/25/2002, 2.0.0050.42. Why? 2.0.0.43 is a newer driver then 2.0.0050.42. The 2.0.0.43 worked perfectly, now i get an installation crash in xp. Check the Promise site, you wil see that Promise fixed the installation crash in driver version 2.0.0.43: http://www.promise.com/support/download/do...ver&os=0&go=GO# So i recommend driver version 2.0.0.43 Bye.

Hello Bashrat you are using old drivers for Nforce 1/2/3/4 in your driverpacks. Nvidia has released (end october 2005) a new set of drivers for the Nforce 1/2/3/4. I think this problem is now solved. Microsoft has released an hotfix for the "stop 0x7e".
