  1. @alanoll Thanks for both of your replies, but I'd already looked at that one, and already exported the registry values. It wasn't what I was looking for. What I'm looking for is the switches to silently install it, thats if it can easily be silently installed. I didn't understand the rest of that thread at all, sorry.
  2. I'm trying to find the switches to silenly install Acronis True Image 8 Server. I've done several searches for "acronis" True Image" etc, and all that I've found is that it's been covered "somewhere in the forums" and to do a search for it (which I have done. If this has been covered, is there any chance some one can point me in the right direction or tell me what the switches are please. Thanks.
  3. Hi all, I have made an unattended XP CD (well, .ISO actually), to be more specific, what I've done is, use XPcreate on my original Microsoft disc to include all the hotfixes etc, then used NLite on that version, to remove all the un- wanted/un-needed waste, and finally used gosh's "Unattended Secret Reducing Size Of Source" to make the final version, and I am testing it using VMWare, everything copies across and windows starts to boot, after the boot screen it keeps coming up with a problem, then rebooting. I've attached a snapshot of the problem in VMWare, just before VMWare reboots, I've also tried using the same Iso in Virtual PC, but the same thing keeps happening. Can anyone help please. winXPPro.7z
  4. @gosh Please bare with me, I'm a newbie, and I only found MSFN a couple of weeks ago. I'm in the process of making a dvd using your Unattended Secret: Reducing Size Of Source, but I'd also like to incorperate your Trick #1: Make a flat. Your "source.bat" states: IF EXIST X:\WIN51IP.SP1 set CDROM=X: IF EXIST Y:\WIN51IP.SP1 set CDROM=Y: IF EXIST Z:\WIN51IP.SP1 set CDROM=Z: ECHO Please wait, Recovery Console is being installed locally. %CDROM%\i386\winnt32.exe /dudisable /cmdcons /unattend md %systemroot%\Source\i386 ECHO Please wait, source files are being copied. This may take several minutes. xcopy /Y /e %CDROM%\i386\*.* %systemroot%\Source\i386\ Thats where my problem is, using your "reducing size of source" method removes winnt32.exe, so how do I get around this, do I copy winnt32.exe and winnt32.dll to the $$ folder, along with the .bat files, or what do I do? Sorry to be a pain.
  5. @gosh I think I've just noticed a mistake in your last post The method described should work fine, although i think OemPnPDriversPath should be removed. The only reason you would need OemPnPDriversPath is to avoid duplicate files. What i would suggest is once your make your mydriver.cab, remove any duplicate files from driver.cab or sp1.cab. Also, i would think you would want any .inf's copied to the inf folder (11) during install so setup can see them. I don't think setup would extract an inf to install drivers. Shouldn't that (11) actually be (20) 10 = system32\spool\drivers 11 = system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 12 = system32\spool\prtprocs 13 = system32\spool\prtprocs\w32x86 14 = system32\wins 15 = system32\dhcp 16 = repair 17 = system32\drivers\etc 18 = system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 19 = system32\drivers\disdn 20 = inf 21 = Help 22 = Fonts I'm a Newbie, so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
  6. Hi all As you may have gathered, I'm fairly new at this. There are 5 computers in the house, and I'd like to make an unattended XP Pro SP1 CD/DVD that can be used to install all or a selection of all of the programs and games on ALL the computers in the house, so that when the computers are first switched on, everything is already installed, much like the computers that are bought from the big name sheds. (I don't know if this is actually possible or not), but I have now come up against three problems so far, which are as follows: 1) How do I install the drivers that are on the support CD's (3 Gigabyte CD's - versions 1.21, 2.22, 2.4, all have "Express Install" on them once run, and the other one has just got "Motherboard" and "support" and "auto Installation" printed on it, and "auto Setup" on it when I run it) that came with the motherboards ? I think they are commonly refered to as 4 in 1 drivers, I may be mistaken. 2) How do I silently install games in the unattended method, in fact, is it possible? 3) How can I incorperate this into "Easyboot", so that when the CD/DVD is inserted into the PC, the first thing that runs is "Easyboot" and I get the option to Install either PC 1,2,3,4,5. In fact, again, is this possible? I have a vague grasp of "Easyboot" already, and have used it to create a self booting unattended Xp Pro SP1(thanks to reading Unattended Threads on MSFN) with my SATA drivers slipstreamed into it (Thanks to GreenMachine etc), but I still have to install all my other drivers (motherboard, printer Scanner etc), programs and games after windows has installed via the unattended methed, and I'd like to be able to cut that out, and have it all installed at once, at the same time as my unattended Xp I have tried doing searches for information on MSFN, but without luck. Can anyone help, or point me in the right directions, please. If I have broke any rules then I apollogise unreservedly, or posted in the wrong place, hopefully a nice kind moderator will move this post to the correct place, thanks.
