I have the same kind of problems with my 6730b and not found a solution yet. When I issue standby of hibernation mode, the laptop is doing that. When I try to wake it up, it does, but immediatly hangs. No event in the eventviewer whatsoever. I strongly belief it has to do with some Microsoft update. I installed the laptop from scratch with xp pro sp1 and it worked fine. Then upgraded to sp2 and sp3 and installed office, avg, etc. After that, no standby / hibernation possible anymore. Strange thing is I had the same problem with my HP NX9005 laptop. I did not use wireless there. Good suggestions are very welcome.
