  2. Hi, I had been using XP stripped to the Bone edition for a month but the version has problem in setup in my laptop, it would show 'cannot copy dshowext.ax' and i found this missing file in my other XP version (full). Blue screen will appear once the laptop webcam is on and the problem still occur even i copy dshowext.ax from other version of XP into my laptop system32 folder. Is anyone face this before? And the only thing i like for Bone edition is the shutdown speed. I notice the 'save setting' and 'windows is shutting down' dialogs had been removed. I believe removed them had speed up the shutdown. So i wonder how i can tweak or removed this dialog from my other XP version? Sorry for my bad english.
  3. Happy new year!! Eidenk, i was about to do the same thing like what populous intended to prepare in the unattended XP cd, and i do what you said as copy the tree in the Wassociate into notepad and save it as .reg format. Yes, the icon can be change by registering the .reg file that created. My question is: Do i have to make WAssociate addon into the XPCD in order to register the .reg that had with my favorite icon path and all in all, the file type that had change with the desired icon and it won't change again to other else icon regardless what software it may associate with in future. Hopefully not confuse to you. Thanks.
