The Windows Media Player Firefox plugin is great if you want WMV videos to work in Firefox. Unfortunately the installer refuses to install on Windows Server OS's But someone patched the installer and put up a fixed version here : http://arnoutboer.nl/weblog/?p=24 So now you can use the Windows Media Player Firefox plugin on Windows Server 2003 too.

NTFS is safer and does not have problems with large files. I use NTFS on harddisks but FAT or FAT32 on my USB sticks.

Won't enabling CTCP on 2003 also help ? There is a hotfix that adds support for it to 2003 There are also some other options that might be tweaked : http://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=2665
