I recently got an old Thinkpad 600 (PII 266MHz, 128MB RAM, 3GB HDD) and I had NT4.0 workstation on it, but I got so frustrated that I upgraded to Win2k. It works well, but I need to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of this thing. What can I do in Windows 2000 to make this machine run as well as possible and use the least amount of system resources? Any ideas?
I wonder if they really have that much storage, or if they only have a few hundred gigs and they're hoping (and praying) that no one is using that much space for their pr0n<backspace><backspace><backspace><backspace> valuable files and email.
C'mon, peeps! You gots to be using the one 'n' only lynx! King of the browers, aight? Okay, I'm kidding. I don't use lynx. I use firefox, but I wish it used less resources. I have an antiquated ThinkPad, and firefox drags on it.
