Well, i'm newer here. been registered for a few days.

Really intrested in this unattended install stuff... i've completed my first unattended disc, works with a problem. I must say i'm pretty impressed what i've managed to acomplish in such short time, considering this is my first attempt at anything like this.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, i wouldnt have been able to do it without, as we say in texas, ya'll

I've never heard of that before... where did you hear/read that from?

They talk about it quite often in the OT thread over at Pixelation...the ratio normal TV's and moniters use is 4:3, while that resolution is 5:4.

Well, thats intresting. I prefer to use 1280x1024 myself... i've nevered noticed a ratio difference, considering i am even a web designer. Things like that would obviosuly seem like they would screw up the layout when you have other system not only with a different res, but a different aspect ratio.

You never, I repeat never use the 1280 X 1024 on any moniter.  It has an incorrect aspect ratio and pixels will be distorted.

I didnt expect it to work right away. But when you change a reg key that applys to explorer, closing it, then re-starting explore.exe has seemed to work fine for me with all the other reg tweaks

I like to have my taskbar to my 3 rows high...

I havent seen anywhere else, despite searching all over google, and this forum, a reg tweak that will allow me to set this.

I've tried using regshot... trie applying, and reapplying values, none of them changed it.

Does anyone know a reg tweak that will modify how high, how many rows... etc the taskbar is for windows XP?

i'd have to agree with neosapience, its deffinatly your video card.

The 9200 is a card i see at frys for 30$, and the lowsest model available ATI card at the Fry's in my area... lets just say, its pretty low tech.

I couldnt tell you why it would be identifying your memory as sd, instead of DDR.... are you sure it doesnt say SD DDR?

Regarding the quality of your RAM, it is stable... but your CAS is LOW... i'd suggest at the very most for the CAS to be 2.5. You might try setting that in your BIOS, and if your RAM can handle it, you should notice a pretty good performance boost

[Registry Tweaks, Part-1]

I used the first reg tweak file that was posted here, named tweaks.reg

Now that i have excuted it, i cant identify what is removing my "log off..." option from the start menu. Anyone know what reg key this is?

I just used a different reg tweak to re-add it
