I had exactly the same error message occur after I installed Office 2007 and tried to run Outlook. I had just installed the same software on 3 other PCs with no problem. The problem PC was a Dell Inspiron 6000. What was yours? Another strange thing - on this PC immediately after installation when I went to "Initiate" Office 2007 online , I received a response indicating that it was already initiated.
