winrar is very good. it can extract files quicker that winzip. winzip, however - (and you may want to test this for yourself) - can compress quicker than winrar. therefor, I use winrar to unzip, and winzip to zip.

Allow me to introduce myself: Hello, my name is Stunty - (however, my wife & mother call me Paul) I stumbled across this site whilst attempting to find a forum for an app named Gigabit Download Manager. I didn't find the forum in the end. But that's OK. Because, after giving it a hard 2 hour workout, I decided that the Gigabit app was a load of rubbish anyway. Every 20mins or so, explorer seized up and needed to be and re-executed again before normal operations could be resumed. I did, however, with a little help from my good friend, 'Karma', find this forum! And I've gotta say that this has to be one of the most useful & informative websites I've come across in the 10 years I've been playing with computers. Now, I'm not exactly what you might call a computer whiz. But I do have a lot of years under my belt spent thinking up crazier and crazier ways of making things work. And so, with this in mind, it is my hope that I may prove to be of some small use around here after all. Thanks for a great site guys... Stunty
