  1. I've been trying to make a unattended Windows 2000 CD, but I've ran into a bit of a problem. I've slipstreamed SP4 and various hotfixes into the CD and that works. But as soon as I add the winnt.sif file, it stops working. About 10% though the "Installing Devices" screen, the progress bar just stops. This happens even with the most basic winnt.sif: [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated=0 UnattendedInstall=Yes [Unattended] OemPreinstall=Yes Does anybody have any idea what I might have done wrong? Thanks in advance, Invalid
  2. You just need a Microsoft Passport account to enter the OEM site. If you got a Hotmail account, you can use that one.
  3. I know that Wise installers have the /s switch, but I'd like to know if its possible to extract the files from the installer. I've tried some zip programs (7-zip and WinRAR) but they can't. Does anybody know? edit: it's and old fashon .exe installer by the way, not an .msi.
  4. As I install DirectX via cmdlines.txt, which is in the $oem$ directory, I have OemPreinstall=Yes...
  5. I have other computers, but none of them have burners . And they all run Linux btw Anywho, I have windows running again and I'm trying to intergrate the ide drivers as i'm typing this .
  6. All is done as Microsoft's webpages recommend: hotfixes via scvpack.inf and DirectX via cmdlines.txt. Your method may indeed work, but I think remaking the CD is an easier option . I think I'll just silently curse Microsoft while burning another CD. Or maybe I sould just install Linux .
  7. Ow, this is just great. I don't have any Windows anymore as I was under the impression my CD was working just fine. Now I can't install Windows, so I can't recreate the cd... So I guess, I have a bit of a problem here... Now I have to install the unslipstreamed version, manually install all the hotfixes so my computer doesn't get hacked the second I go online to download the software I need to create a new cd... Is there really no other way to fix this?
  8. I've just made a Windows 2000 cd with SP5 patches and DirectX slipstreamed. It works perfectly with VMWare, but not with my real computer. At the end of the textmode file copy portion of setup, it gives me the message it can't copy the RAID drivers from floppy. Which is completly stupid, because it has those drivers already loaded by that time, so it was able to read the drivers form the floppy before. What is going on here??
  9. I've been trying to make a bootable CD with my favorite CD burning application: burnatonce (burnatonce). But I haven't succeeded so far. The CD I'm trying to make is Windows 2000 with SP4 and SP5 patches slipstreamed. Often I get the "insert SP4 CD" error. Or if I don't get that one, I get something like "NT loader not found". The CDIMAGE program from http://unattended.msfn.org/index.htm does work however, so it must be the ISO settings I use. Burnatonce has the following settings: Compliant PVD ISO Level 2 ISO9660:1999 Joliet Names Long Joliet Names UDF v1.02 Rock Ridge Omit Version No. Relax ISO9660 No Folder Limit Does anybody know what settings to use? Thanks in advance.
