Not a program, but if you read here, in my opinion its the best way .. it might look like it would take a while to do it that way but its alot faster than wasting time with programs that only stuff it all up in the end ..

In all my years in using PC's not once has System Restore created any problems, amazing how this thread was opened yesterday and not one person replied with any help, but 2 mins after I add a reply someone is there to have a dig at it.

Did you try using System Restore .. ?

Thanks gunsmokingman, but that didn't work either just shut it down and didn't restart I just put this "shutdown.exe -r -f -t 00" into a program called "Quick Batch File Compiler" and it worked perfect .. I also put that same command into a .bat file but I prefer using the .exe QBFC made as it seems to happen alot faster ..

I believe its better to call your bat or cmd file from RunOnceEx and I think its better to use the "REG ADD %KEY%\001" method rather than "Start".
eg RunOnceEx:
REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\$OEM$\<Folder name>\<File name>.cmd" /f

I can't get this to work, I have done everything you said but it still gives me the shutdown screen with 30 seconds to reboot I did delete the old reboot info from my cleanup.cmd ?? 3 times I have tried now with the same result, I'm sure it worked the 1st time I tried it

Thank you, I will give it a go now ...

Good question, its such an ugly box why did they have to make it look like your system has just failed !?

edit your WINNT.SIF file .. I'm sure this has been covered many times over and over .. have you read through this,

It's not usual, it should actually take much less time to install in a VM than from cd or dvd, how did you do the unattended install of office 2007? all the ways I tried failed

when I try to use makecab on my Vista system it just flashes a dos box up leaving me to do nothing, is that normal? I assumed it was as iexpress uses makecab to make the cab file?

I don't think it matters, I don't know about [setupParams] so I can't comment, I guess as long as it works there I wouldn't put it in cmdlines.txt

It states it in the "Getting Started" section .. it goes in cmdlines.txt inside the $OEM$ dir ..

All is very clear when you read this.

IZArc can create .cab files ... or you could use IExpress and select "Create compressed files only" it comes with WinXP and Vista ...

I'm not really sure, I am only new with this, I just followed this here, but now you have me thinking

No that wont work, windows only searches for .inf and .cat files I believe, you will need to put something like this in your winnt.sif:
OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000_network\dellgx270;Drivers\000_network\dellgx280" etc ..

Yes you assumed wrong Windows only searches direct folder entries in the winnt.sif file, it does not search sub directories, This is the structure I created for my Laptop:
$OEM$\$1\DRIVERS\INF .. and in this folder I made 000_chipset, 001_network etc .. In the DRIVERS folder I placed all my original drivers (This gets copied to C:\) and in the INF folder (also gets copied to C:\) I created 000_chipset, 001_network etc, I placed all of the .inf and .cat files for the the drivers into them, your winnt.sif entry should look something like this:
OemPnPDriversPath="DRIVERS\INF\000_CHIPSET;DRIVERS\INF\001_NETWORK etc ..
Hope this helps .. ?

If your changing the default name twice then I have no idea, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it?
0 -
Are you putting your label in twice? 1st in the Label box top left, and after you click make iso where the file name is?

Click on "here" in my above post, it should take you to MSFN's Unattended Windows page to show you how to do it.
