  1. SP3 create troubles with chipsets ?

    No, both pc's are custom made pc's, means all parts are bought seperated. I made a few tests and i saw that the PC's are running SMOOTHIE without SP3. But my question remains, is SP3 compatible with these 2 chipsets ?? and why is corrupting the chipset drivers ??
  2. Hello recently i was reinstalling windows in a pc with an AMD 4.2Ghz Pros with a NVidia NForce 4 Chipset. After the clean install finished, XP SP2 was the CD, i installed the chipset drivers (latest from NVidia) and reboot the pc. Everything was OK, then i decide to install SP3. I did it all went ok and the pc reboot again. After a short while, means 5-10 min later, i was configuring the Xp my pc freezed and a BSOD come out informing me about my chipset driver. I made a search about the error and i found that was my chipset driver, and it was CORRUPTED. Same thing happend EXCACTLY with an other pc, the defference was chipset VIA and CPU P4 3.2Ghz LGA775. So i want to ask if someone else had the same prob with these CHIPSETS and SP3 or its just my **** imagination. PS: Both pc's was reformatted and applyed the SP3 after full driver installations but the SAME PROBS AGAIN. I made that just in case that windows installation didnt went good.

  5. Oups, sorry to hear that, actually i didn't have any problems with that program, but actually i did the procedure backwards, means that i first add the WMP 11 with this program and after i use the /integrate command to add SP3.
  6. Hello folks, due to your guide im almsot completed my Unattended CD, but im stuck to these two components : DirectX 9.0c (redist_Mar2008) and IE7. Also i want to check my RunOnceEx.cmd and my batch.cmd and tell me if i have made something wrong or if im ok, before closing the CD and make it Bootable. Before posting i made a search in da forum but i didnt find a solution about DX9c and IE7, i mean from RunOnceEx.   9. Well i have a new workaround about WMP 11, why dont you try this people http://wud.jcarle.com/ProgramFiles.aspx, this dude created this small file and also a very helpful utility for WU. I used it to integrate WMP 11 into my CD, then Nlite for IE7 and SP3. Give it a try, VERY HELPFUL.
  10. Messed up, need some help!

    Hey Martin thnx mate, lets then clarify exactly what i want. This cd is intended to be used for my customers, so the only thing that i want is ONLY to add some apps that will be installed after Windows Setup, both 3 steps. The apps that i want to add is : .NET 1 & 2, DirectX 9, WMP 11, IE 7, Windows Defender and SP3. As for SP3 - WMP 11 - IE 7 ill intgrate them directly to the cd, i found the way how to. Now lets get back to the other sections. For the first section about WINNT.SIF its necessary to make STEP 4 in the Unattended Guide ?? Cause if it necessary here is what i missed about WINNT.SIF file. About section 3, for the .NET the guide says that you must create first an IExpress package to make that happend, but the link provided is BROKEN. If you click on that link that i give in my first post you'll see that is broken. About section 4, like i said i found a new workaround about it and slipstream the WMP 11 into the setup.   11. So here is how im thinking my unattended cd. First of all i don't want to change nothing in the setup procedure. The only thing that i want is to add some extra apps after installing windows, so this step is completed with the RunOnceEx.cmd . Now my questions are these : 1. Do i need to create or modify the winnt.sif ?? and if i have to modified it where is it, cant locate it in the xpcd folder that i made (\xpcd\i386\winnt.sif??) 2. It is good /integrate SP3 or make it an apps from RunOnceEx ?? (i thought it better to run after install) 3. I want to add .NET 1 + 2 but the link http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/IEXPRESS/iexpress.htm in the Unattended Guide doesn't work. 4. For the WMP 11 using RunOnceEx i can follow the same procedure as you pint point here http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/switch/15/ ?? Thats all and thank you in advance.

My many thanks for the people that they spend time to make this happened. Now, as a computer engineer and network admin i encounter many times the fact RE-Installing Windows. So i decide to make a field search about unattended and thats how i discover you people.
