well its actully... its aol services.. i have aol installed on my system...it uses service like aol connectivity services and aol topseed monitor... which is useless if aol is not runnnin and uses up memory.. it also starts.. Telephony, Remote Access Auto Connection manager and Remote Access Coneection Manger... (and Remote Access Coneection Manger cant be stopped once it started).. so is the is any other way to do so.. or any proggie?

i was wondering if there is any way to start certain services when certain program startes... and stop them when program is exited... is there any way to achive this????

so i edited .. boot.ini.. to noguiboot.. and it worked fine... but now when ever i explore my c: drive i see the boot.ini there... yes i have folder option set to show hidden files and folder... but before it never did show boot.ini when i had that option enabled.... so is there is possible way to make it dissapear again.. without .. hiding ... hidden files and folder? its very stong possiblity that my lil brother would delete it...

its any applications .. when i have it minimized it comes to focus .. when i am workin on note pad .. and i have IE running... after it loads the page it comes to focus.. same thing with firefox or opera.. its not limited to browsers .. its like when i double click on adobe reader icon on desktop .. while i would have windows explorer open and browsing .. adobe would steal foucs and come it front .. while i am workin on something else.. even if i minimize it would come it front...

any solution to this? windows (applications) ... keeps stealing focus... i tried .. reg tweaks , powertoys , tuneup utilities and other similar applications.. vb scripts... when ever i apply tweaks thru tuneup utilities .. it works till my system is rebooted.. and after i reboot its back to stealing focus.... i dont know wat to do any more... anything would be help full....

when i press the windows update shortcut wupdmger.exe runs for 1 sec or less then disappears....

yes all three are set to automatic

thanks for the quick reply astalavista but i am not lookin for hotfix i have already slipstreamed hotfixes in my xp cd. .. i want to be able to access the windows update site. thanks tho

i dont know if this is write section for this if not please let me know when click on windows update from startmenu it will open the IE and and i also see windows update add in address bar but it wont show me anything .. i made sure that windows automatic update and background intelligent trasfer servies are started and runin .... i am runin windows xp pro sp2 any suggestions would be helpful thanks in advance

can anyone tell me how to use IconTranslate beta 0.92 from makers or style xp? there is no help on any site... do i need to use style xp in order for it work?.. i am lost.. can some one help me? it says on site it converts cursor now but i dont know what to press when ever i type something in and then hit enter the prog. exits...
