  1. These 3 files can also be deleted, it also saves 4 MB space from unneeded things. Maybe the installer could implement this (exclude the 3 files or delete them).
  2. I couldn't find the registry entry (using Regshot). It could be the 3 files "DMD61" presented in the earlier post.
  3. I don't think it was the Patent Activation. It was something optional. I will install today on virtual machine and maybe capture the registry entry that disables it.
  4. After I install and run it, it asks me if I want to register for something. Does this appear to others? If so, can this be disabled by default in the installer (it's a registry entry)?
  5. Avast Home Edition installs fine (with serial number), using either SVCPACK or RunOnce.
  6. Is anyone able to create ISO images (not NRG) using the Image Recorder? I am using Nero Micro 8.3.13.0 and although I have the "Enable all suported recorder formats for the Image Recorder" option checked (under Options -> Expert Features), I can create only NRG format images. I don't have the full version of Nero to test if this is a Lite/Micro issue or Nero's.
  7. Serial entering should be very easy to do and should work flawless everytime you try it. This is not the case with the current implementation. I've tried it many times on real machine and on virtual. Sometimes, the serial just won't enter and I have to to to the Control Center and add the serial manually (very NOT unattended). This happenes especially when the computer i'm installing Nero is working on something else.
  8. Download the ZIP version, then create a SFX archive using WinRAR or 7-Zip modified SFX module.
  9. "Serial8_1229871550" will only work on one machine.
  10. This is the one I used to successfully clean infected computers: Kaspersky RescueDisk. It's updated regular and it's easy to use.
  11. BurnAware free edition doesn't copy discs and can't create bootable ones.
  12. I have tested a LOT of burning apps and I can say that none comes closer to Nero (for the average user, anyway). - CDBurnerXP has quite some of bugs and needs the .NET Framework. - ImgBurn doesn't support multisession, doesn't have an intuitive way to make audio CD's - Ashampoo Burning Studio, both free and commercial versions have problems with *RW discs - CDRecord (or CDRKit) based apps (InfraRecorder, CDRTFE etc.) don't recognize a lot of drives Currently, I am using CDBurnerXP.
  13. The most complete pack I've found is Onepiece XP Post-SP3 AIO Update Pack (including IE7, WMP11, latest DirectX update etc.). However, everytime I tried these update packs, I found bugs, so now I slipstream all the updates manually (download them, then use nLite).
  14. Try making just the ISO with nLite, then use a mainstream disc burning application (like Nero, Roxio, Ashampoo etc.) to burn the image.
  15. I have a feature request: to be able to add more than one keyboard layout and choose the default one.
  16. It lacks some basic features, like playlist sorting.
  17. This is what I did many times and no errors so far: 1) Slipstream all the SP3 updates using nLite; 2) In the "Unattended" section of nLite, I complete all the fields (CD key, username etc.); 3) In the RunOnce tab, I enter all the commands for silently installing everyting else (.NET Framework, various programs, updates that can't be slipstreamed).
  18. Install 2.0 SP1 directly.
  19. You can also try this update pack.
  20. I succesfully installed .NET Framework 2.0 and some programs that need it (including at installation time) via GUIRunOnce (nLite Unattended). start /wait %SOURCE%\<.NET Framework 2.0 installer> /q start /wait %SOURCE%\<.NET program installer>
