like those are what i'm replacing right? and i can't find any blueprints or whatever for the boards... also i'm just replacing the powersupply board right? not the one with the chip in it or whatever? would pics help?

kds k917s, 900d. how do i know which are the good and which are the bad ones... i'm a n00b when it comes tho this kinda stuff.

so how do we go about figuring out which are bad points and all that jazz? is there a decently easy way to do this? also, i got mine for free from an aunt and uncle, they said it didn't work, i had it running for about two days and then i turned it off, when i went to turn it back on is when it didn't work... i'm letting it sit for a while, but i'd like to fix it 100%

my best bet is there is something wrong with the caps on the monitor board... that seems to be about the only thing i came up with on google.... there isn't much but what there is isn't in english

Hello i'm new to the neighborhood. I'm having problems with my KDS monitor. there was a previous topic here but it died and was a year old. so i thought i'd start my own. (here's the link to the old topic: http://www.msfn.org/board/KDS-lcd-t102366.html ) I have a 19" LCD monitor: Brand: KDS Product Number: k917s Model Number: 900d my problem with this monitor is that i'll turn it on, it'll show a perfect picture and then it will turn instantly black. the bulm isn't going out because it worked for quite a while. then i turned it off and when i tried to turn it back on it was fine for a second and then went black. I've taken it apart and triend disconnecting and reconnecting the lcd screen with the cables but the problem still persists. I've read that there are some problems with power supply because of bad caps or something along those lines... any help would be appreciated... i can provide pictures too if that would help.
