I don't know what options are correct,so here is a picture with my settings now.

I have the same problem like you,but I'am not shure if this fix yours.Try to open volume control and look if the sliders are in high position,then try to push the sliders a little bit lower.In my case I fix troble with sound.

Hello!
I have this problem with some programs or stand alone exe
When I click with mouse on program icon or shortcut nothing happend.Click again-nothing,programs don't run.
Then I click with right mouse button and select: Run As and this window appear then:
then I uncheck:Protect My Computer and data from unauthorized program activity and program start normal.Can This options be uncheck by defoult and how I can do this?
Please anyone for help,becouse this make me crazy

I don't know this Power Video Encoder program of yours, but if you installed the ACM codec it should be listed in the Codecs list afaik: > windows-key+pause, Hardware, Device Manager, Sound, video and game controllers, Audio Codecs.
But, the recommended piece of software for DVD to DivX/XviD (also rather Xvid than DivX) would really be AutoGK. Give it a try. I don't think there's anything more simple then this.

Hello!
I have a trouble to use this free Lame mp3 encoder,so I really need help.I download this codec from this site :http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm and install it use included inf file,but the problem is in my Power video encoder not show,so I can't convert movie to divx with mp3 sound.
I try several times to install it again,but looks like that not install correct,so the video power can't see it and use it
Can someone help me with this trouble how I can install this encoder,so I can use it with other software?
Maybae I need some other inf install file or something else???

ok, im gonna boot into xp and start fiddling with the code, not like im gonna do any homework tonight anyway
ill reupload the zip file which has a readme in it and more examples..

I agree!jdgordon is made a nice tool and just small things is not finnish yet for not such expert users like me,so I hope that this tool have a one finnish xml file,so we can use it all of us

You should use modifype -c for all modified dlls to correct their CRC, otherwise windows would think that they're corrupted!

I like to know for this options also and if is posible to set options like this:
delete C partition
made quick ntfs format on C partition and then install windows.
All full automatic
I have also another partitions on my HD,so I like to format only C

I just made a quick test and test it with vmware and I must say you do a really nice job with this latest version
When you start with this program I almost start to use it on beginning and we have a lot of conversation what,when,where........but you know this
and now I can only say,really good work,maybae the program is a little difficult for beginners,but wit some try you can understand it.I have only one small reuqest on winnt.sif.Can you add.like in windows install;language,time zone...to have options to choose,becouse most of us don't know it..... take care!

I must post explain here,becouse it's not trouble with sp2,but with motherboard!
I buy MSI pentium IV motherboard,but they not work correct!.
I try to update bios and I'am not beginer in this stuff,but when computer restarted the motherboard are dead,so I must buy new motherboad today,but not anymore MSI.I buy AsRock,it's cheap and work without any problems and update bios work like a sharm,so now I can run it with my new petium IV 3000 machine.

Hi!
Today I upgrade my PC,so I buy new msi board and pentium IV 3000 procesor,but I have trouble with sp2!
First I try to install slipstreamed xp cd,but in first reboot just stop there.
Second I try install the first original xp cd without sp and work ok.When install is finish I try to install sp2,but I have the same error!
When sp finish and reboot computer is stoped again in boot logon(windows xp)and just stop there and won't start,even in safe mode.
In board bios I use defoult settings,so I don't know what is wrong and I need your's help

SYMPTOMS
On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2), programs that connect to IP addresses that are in the loopback address range may not work as you expect. For example, you may receive an error message that says that you cannot establish a connection.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if the program connects to a loopback address other than 127.0.0.1. Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) prevents connections to all IP addresses that are in the loopback address range except for 127.0.0.1.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article.
