Check your services. I have also been trying to use a Corporate VLK SP2 disk slipstreamed to SP3.  I mainly use the RVM integrator, but I used nLite to add a SATA  driver and then removed many of the keyboard profiles like in your list.  My installation is totally hosed, with missing shortcuts, no IE7 or WMP11... I checked my services and noticed that many services that were set to Automatic were not started.  Here are some of the services issues I have. set to automatic but are not started 	Computer Browser  	Cryptographic Services 	DCOM Server Process Launcher 	DHCP Client 	Distributed Link Tracking Client 	DNS Client 	Error Reporting Service 	Event Log 	IPSEC Services 	Logical Disk Manager 	NVIDIA Display Driver Service 	Print Spooler 	Protected Storage 	Secondary Logon 	Security Accounts Manager 	Security Center 	Shell Hardware Detection 	System Event Notification 	TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper 	Themes 	WebClient 	Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) 	Windows Management Instrumentation 	Windows Time The Following are disabled 	Alerter 	ClipBook 	Human Interface Device Access 	IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service 	Indexing Service 	Network DDE 	Network DDE DSDM 	Remote Registry 	Routing and Remote Access 	Telnet Some of the automatics will start quickly like DHCP which I then can get an IP address, others take forever and then error out stating they can't be started.  If I log out and log back, some of the serviceces that would not start are now started, but if I reboot they are not started again. I'm about to give up on SP3 and just go back to SP2.
