I've created an aero cursor pack for my xp unattended setup. So now I want to add it when installing windows that the cursors would be copied from the cab file. I've already made an inf file so now I need to make this work. I think this is called slipstreaming, right?

Did you tried to install it on your machine without any switches ? did the installer want to download any data ? if yes. you have the same problem that i have When you have the full package it doesn't to download anything actually it just shows that it is downloading but it is checking instead of downloading I have the same problem but I ran the setup using /quiet switch with no internet connection the .net framework 3.5 installed properly.

A pretty helpful guide you got there I've just made one install. By the way /qn switch doesn't work, use /quiet instead.

Try using nlite. Just go to reg tweaks > desktop > Internet explorer icon. That worked for me with IE7.

Hmm... Can I change something in registry that all folders, my computer, my network places... would use a different file for storing icons? Btw I know reshack thats how I've got those icons. Edit: Nevermind found it out myself.

I've been here a while and so decided to post because I couldn't find anything how to solve this problem. My problem is that when I apply vista icons (shell32.dll, explorer.exe, mydocs.dll) to my unattended setup then install it after some updates those icons turn into xp icons. Does anyone know how to fix this?
