nomadturk replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
Well, I don't know whose addon i have. Since there're no such entries in the ini section nor in the name. And since i already have 1.5.2 and didn't download yours, how the heck can i know if this is yours or not? -
[Release] Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.6.0.30
nomadturk replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
Can we, anyhow, make this addon to "not" to install or activate the "tea timer"? It's a pain in the a**, everytime i install this, i remember why i removed it from my previous windows (: -
Which SATA drivers do you use?
nomadturk replied to nomadturk's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Hmm, The way i prepare my windows is like: First, i add hotfixes and addons via nLite, do the tweaks, add users et cetera and right before building an iso, i add DriverPacks. I use Method1, All Drivers, QSC Enabled, KTD Disabled. But since DriverPacks are .7z compressed and will only work after formatting the disc, unzipping itself. It's no use for me. How do you do use it then? -
Which SATA drivers do you use?
nomadturk replied to nomadturk's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I do use DriverPacks, but the thing is they won't work for "recognising" the SATA drives before the installation. What i meant was the drivers that's loaded at the first section of the installation, before formatting the drives. -
Hey, Which SATA drivers do you integrate to your Windows CD to be used during the textmode setup? I'm curious because i want my windows to recognise all the systems without any errors. I'm integrating Intel, Nvidia and JMicron Sata Drivers. I can share them if anyone wants. What do you add in addition to these?

Does anybody have D-Color or a similar software doing the same job? If not, can somebody provide a release or this? (Well, i can use the $OEM$ structure but...)

Using $OEM$ Folder causes problems
nomadturk replied to nomadturk's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Hmm, then i'll do it your way. But the question is how will i address the folder? Will i use something like Which one shall i use. I'm adding files and settings to both all users folders and default users folder for different stuff. So it's certain that i'll at least use two of these. Besides, will i have to use quotation marks for a command like One more thing, should i use *.* for filtering or only * will be enough? Sorry, i am asking to many questions but it'ld be a pain to wait till the end of an installation just to try these commands to see if they're right even though i'm installing to a virtual machine. And none of the windows releases has had such files for me to take as samples or i couldn't see any in the forum either. -

You can do that from within nLite. -
After Textmode Windows uses old Driver
nomadturk replied to Thunderbird1804's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Did you try removing this driver from within your windows source? Remember the "Drivers" section of nLite? You can remove components from there. Also, did you select "Remove after installation" whilst integrating drivers? That's what i could think of. -
Using $OEM$ Folder causes problems
nomadturk replied to nomadturk's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
How? Well, after creating a new user profile with the settings i need, i've copied the Mozilla folder from to These are copied via OEM folder structure, like i said before. I assume i should add Xcopy command to the cmdlines.txt, right? -
Using $OEM$ Folder causes problems
nomadturk replied to nomadturk's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Err, before burning the DVD? No, i really am a newbie. I didn't touch cmdlines.txt yet since i was unsure how to use that too. Will it be OK if i create a cmdlines.txt in $OEM$ folder, add only the line attrib -R *.* /S /D Or... How will i create a cmdlines.txt and use that? (I know that it's explained at the home of MSFN. But.. It's kinda confusing.) -
Using $OEM$ Folder causes problems
nomadturk replied to nomadturk's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I do that already. I'm using But it won't work since the files are marked as read-only whilst being copied to the HDD. -
Hey there! I've a little problem, i'm usin the $OEM$ folder structure to add default settings, languages, plugins for software i'm installing via unattended installation. Such as for Firefox, Thunderbird, SuperCopier2, XnView, AIMP2 and etc. One little problem i have is that once these settings are copied from DVD to HDD, they're marked as "Read Only" which is a big problem since for example i'm getting errors whilst opening Firefox just because all the profile files copied from DVD is read only. For Firefox, i'm not using the Silent of Foxes or such kind of plugins since i change the settings, add some adblock filters, greasmonkey scripts within the installation. For the rest, i want them not to be read only. Is there any way to do this? The only solution i can think of is creating cab files to be installed during installation, but... Being a real novice i don't know how to do that.

I.. don't know if there's any difference between using RyanVM or nLite for integrating this addons. So far, there're things RyanVM could not add such as most of CPL extensions i've tried and some other stuff. I think this last time, when i've added DaemonTools with nLite it was going to work if only i hadn't reset the Virtual Machine. But still, i can't install Paint.Net and i don't get it that why can't i... Anyway, i can be considered a newbie at this process. I think it's truly natural for me to encounter such problems and also considering i still do not know what software is better for what and how to build my own custom packages other than replacing the contents of cab files... Yeah, nLite forever baby! I don't see no reason to use RyanVM anymore.

[release] Bulba 2006.6.0.19 CPL(Control Panel Extension)

All right, let's give it a shot then. Thank you! -
[release] Bulba 2006.6.0.19 CPL(Control Panel Extension)
nomadturk replied to mitsukai's topic in Application Add-Ons
I've added this via nLite. It's been installed OK, or i was thinking so till i tried running it. Error: Can not start because dmidata.dll couldn't be found. Geez, when i check system32\bulba folder i see that the dll is existing there and also when i run bulba.exe it works ok. Any solutions or advices about why this happened? -
Should i? Ahh, my bad. But how do i know that which addon is for nLite and which is for RyanVM? Can you enlighten me? Because all those CPL addons i've tried to integrate doesn't work too. I assume they too muyst be added via nLite.
-
Hmm, i don't know why but whatever i do, i can't make this addon work. I mean i add it via RyanVM along with 85 other addons but neither this, nor paint.net is installed during the installation. Anyone having such problems?

I'm in to creating an unattended windows release since a few weeks. It's quite amazing to see how customized a windows can be right from the installation. After seeing Black XP, Vortex Vista, WinUtuxu and likes of these i've decided to create my own, in my own language and with my preferences. After a bit of search, checking through other windows releases and with the help of google i've reached MSFN. The rest came afterwards easily. Now i can add the software i've found on the forums, i can add driverpacks and customize my windows. Thank you guys. But i've been running into som difficulties and problems now and then. At my first releases i was using a bare windows xp without any service packs at all and was adding service pack 2 then integrating media player 11 and then was applying other windows updates i've downloaded via WUD. But that was mostly causing problems, like non-working media player. And even if i somehow made it work i never could run Autocad 2002 or 2004 which i am trying to learn since we're using that version in our company. (2008 works ok) So, i decided to work with the already wm11 integrated, sp2 windows cd i was normally using. I took it, i opened nLite, added all the updates i have except the ones that must be run by user since they can't be integrated. Tweaked my XP with nLite, added some sata drivers, created custom $OEM$ folder with wallpapers, oeminfo.ini, custom xp sounds, loads of wallpapers i've even added default profiles with extensions for thunderbird and firefox (which didn't work due to an error adblock was giving. I shall try silence of the foxes next time instead of putting my profiles to OEM folder), skins for BsPlayer, default settings for some software i've installed, custom hosts file and etc. Then added the addons via Ryan's VM.. Oh, i've added loads of them, updated some of them myself, replaced some with Turkish ones... I really liked this thing. I've found many stuff here and Ryan's Forum and special thanks to winaddons.com . There're some really good applications thanks to you guys. Anyway, afterwards i'm adding DriverPacks to my windows, (Method 2, QSC ON) Bingo, i've a working windows now! But.. I still have some questions. First of all, does integrating a software first or last matter? If it does, does it corrupt the installation to run the Ryan's Integrator twice? Or should i add the the ones to be installed first via nLite whilst choosing addons, hotfixes.. then add the rest via Ryan's? <Edit> Unnecessary list of addons removed by Moderator </Edit> Also, about removing services and disabling services.. I need some help here, i really don't know which service could be useful at where? Considering my windows can be used by a regular user or a power user or at a company machine i don't want to remove anything that can be necessarry but i sure am that there're some services that won't ever be used by anyone. But what are they? <Edit> Unnecessary copy of nLite preset removed by Moderator </Edit> The next step will be working with WPI and creating my own addons, such as SuperCopier2 i want to integrate to my windows since i'm using it and i'm fine with it. Or learning how to run reg files during the installation. These are mysteries for me right now. How can i set windows to use AIMP to open Mp3 files but not VLC? Seems i've forgotten installing XnView with this release, but even if i did not, i am sure it would register itself. How will i register file types for the software i like? Anyway, it's quite a long post by now, i hope you will read it and enlighten me. (: <Edit> Unnecessary images removed by Moderator </Edit>

Well... I think i've done it. Here, i've added 200 fonts to this one, 50+ of them are from the Top100 list of DaFont.com I've searched for something like this but couldn't find it. Maybe someone will appreciate it. http://www.esnips.com/doc/c408d40e-cd82-4f...FontsPack_ADDON

Well, too lame a solution but.. How about creating a file named FontInst.bat and insert these in it. Then moving that file to your folder? Also, do not forget adding all your fonts to your folder. (Don't know if it works, since i don't know how to use cmdlines.txt and fontinst and other stuff, i too am looking for alternates.)
