Hello, How can I pick currently logged-in-user and use that as variable in my batch file? I wanted to copy some files into c:\my documents\user X\some folder but the problem in path is that "user X". Is there easy way to "read" that and use variable for it? MMainio

Hello, I tried couple installation with these scripts and it was ok. But is it possible to run these scripts silently without popping up all windows? My script was basicly run "something", winwait "something" and send keys "something"- not very advanced I think! MMainio

Hello, Just wanted to share my experiences when your xp-system is not the english one! I finally succeeded in adding users & autologon according the msfn-guide but it was ******* difficult and the reason to that ...I'm from Finland and we have letters like "ä" and "ö" - and administrator in finnish (of course!) is "järjestelmänvalvoja". So I put that järjestelmänvalvoja in my batch and always same error when executing the batch: didn't find the järjestelmänvalvoja -group! After long battle I finally put "pause" in my batch and found the error: I wrote my batch in a right way but when I executed my batch the system didn't take the "ä" -letter right but put something else instead of it. And again long fight before I found that putting "„" in my batchfile instead of "ä" (like j„rjestelm„nvalvoja) and then running it - No Problems anymore in adding the user into the administrator group! Many times it would be much easier if I had the english system... MMainio

Hello, I have added own User Account during GUI-mode of Windows XP Setup like described in Unattended XP CD -guide to my unattended install. I wonder is it possible to do that in a way that during installation setup would prompt user "what is the name You want to use?" and after user has given the name setup would use that name (in useraccounts.cmd and autologon.reg ... like in the guide at this site)... The reason for that is that sometimes i do xp installation to my buddies and it would be nice if i could give the name that way during installation (so there wouldn't be my name in everybodies "doc and settings" -folder). Hope You understand what i meant? Thanks, mmainio
