doesnt work the reg goes to reg user and as the reg user numebr change ever time you install it fails, plus it doesnt merge correctly anyway, trust me i have tried ever way possiable

Hello all, Just wondering if anyone has managed to get this installed onto a fresh install of xp sp3 as i have tried and it keeps giving erros about msxml 6 parse and xpsec and other program being missing. I know i am wanting a unattened install but i done this manaully to see why it wouldnt install and i foudnt eh above errors. jsut wonderign if it jsut me or if other have experaince the problem. also downloadin it from micrsoft catalog includes updates for them programs meantioned so not sure if it a sp3 bug or something else

i found the error 'Y:\apps\digiguide\digiguide.exe' that was my bad because i was making the scritp from network share on virtual pc but that share doesnt exist in my network so i modified it to just the program name and it seems to be working fine

it is still failing the install program jsut doesnt seem to start up at all, (i mean i am checking task manager for it starting) i have used that program and now idenitifd as class #32770 first screen, and second. the final bit is sectionwindow061popup btw thank you for all your help so far at the very least i am learning more about the control clicks

is that a vbs script? if so how do you use it? it seems like it will configure spybot the way i would after install

unfortnally i cant provide the installe rbecuase it is register to me. but you can regster at the site www.digiguide.com and download a copy i ust need it to install when it ask for settings to i just want ti canceled as i copy over a setting file to make it the way i want.

when downlaoding open office there is tick box oyu can untick to not include java so oyug et the openoffice only

Hay all, I am just wonder how oyu can identify register compenents that effect program configuration or tweaks oyu have done? i am wanting to make a completely unatteneded install disk that will tweak the system to how i make it after manual install most stuff i can do just fine tuning like adding settings to a particular programs or in case of a rss feed program adding it feeds etc i am guessing it register it held in so wondered if anyone knew a way to moniter the register changes or find for a particular program.

Still would not be legal i'm afraid. Techincal it is legal as long as you use you own OEM key, but people askign for download mostly likely are jsut after getting it free. The reason i know it is legal is because i aske don technet, i have 6 copies and i wasnt goign to update them all i checked on virtual install and all my cd keys worked on my one retail copy up to date sp3 so wanted to be sure it wa fine and they said as long as oyu have the cd keys you can use one cd. but they also said i should get a volume license go figure even though i dnt havea business. (yes i know you can get iut for personal use just dnt see the point paying microsoft ever year jsut buya new licesne when needed)

Thanks for the reply, i was aware of what he problem was but i just wanted to be sure that a fresh install with sp3 slipstreamed isnt a problem. From what you are saying it shouldnt fingers crossed it works when i try it later tonight

Hay all, Just looking for a bit of advice, one of ym machines is AMD and i know there a problem with AMD and SP3 mainly BSOD, but i jsut read from technet it is appanrlty only affecting OEM versions upgrading to SP3. What i want to know does slipstreaming a retail version with SP3 then doigna fresh install cause this problem? dnt want to try then find i need to reinstall with SP2

Anyway, i'll try doing by scratch again and tell to you! are you doing this on sp3? if so i have found the searching for cd.txt in the different drives fails i reverted to the local format if it sp2 i will have a closer look at it as it worked fien for me on sp2
