Hi: I am new to this forum as well and do not claim to be an expert. Normally when you receive a new laptop with Vista, the OEM provider (HP, Toshiba, etc.) will provide a restore DVD and or a utility to allow you to burn a restore DVD from their hidden partition which contains the restore. Once you have that the the following procedure is on the site. It at the top of the Vista portion and entitled: Tutorial] Clean Windows Vista Install - No Activation needed 12. The procedure works well but you will need some version of Vista for this to work. Cheers.
