do you have a ati graphics card? did you use a driverpack or similar? give more details....anyway, should you have have said yes to both options above then i'd recommend not installing the graphics drivers through driverpack but instead through a different method. or i've recently seen that you can choose to not instal the control center, which has historically caused problems for ati graphics card notbooks with sudden hangs or shutdowns hope this helps somewhat, again i don't think we can really help all that much with so little info.
