If the dvd of vista that I have already has sp1 included, do I still need to follow the SP1 slipstream guide on the forums? Also, I looked around on the forums a bit but I couldn't figure out how to word this question: I have a lot of programs that I want to install automatically after vista installs, and before windows loads. Is the RunOnce program what i want to use? Is there a better way? Or is there a FAQ for using the RunOnce program? Thanks for your time, and feel free to point me in the right direction and lock this post if I'm just blind and didn't see the obvious posts on the forums!

Quick question... How does the 64-bit xp performance compare to 32-bit xp? I know early on there were major driver issues and such, but I can't really find and recent reviews to see how things are going. EDIT: Meant performance-wise as far as games and programs go.

so is there any way I can change options for my install within windows? Such as a program or something. Or is the only option just a re-install?

is there a utility that I can use to turn settings back on? And what is SFC?

All I did was extract the files from the XP cd, and then run nlite and go through the steps. Then I burned it and installed it.

Also, even though it SAYS "Keep msconfig.exe" it was deleted. I had to redownload it from the web.

I used a fresh cd of XP Pro SP1 to make an unattended iso using nlite. The problem is that no matter what I change about windows (display settings, start menu settings, etc) They are always reverted back to the original settings after a reboot/restart/log-off.
