re-downloaded, now they are certified, the filesizes were about 200k different, i downloaded it off their servers before they changed their site, they must have changed it a little when they officially released it !

can it emulate installing sata raid drivers as that is before windows is even loaded, not sure if that would even be possible?

i want to test my unattended cd i have made, if i emulate the cd does it alter your harddrive, cos i dont want to mess up my computer. can any help with some info please or virtual pc please ?

i didnt mean to sound like i was complaining i was just wondering if he was going to make an sp2/rc1 version of the batch files as sp2 may be out for upto 3 months.

also if you do it by editing the .ins file and using the .bat file do you extract the installation program so that there are 50 files, then edit the .ins file and execute the Setup.exe that was compressed into the installer with the other 49 files?

not sure why they arent signed, mine are the official ones ! so just editing the winnt.sif file will install them without the need for a batch file ?

i tried the remove tour.bat file you made, i get the folders always, with tour inside with 120 file. i also tried the remove windows messenger .bat file you made, i get 7 files in optional\msimn folder. would these have removed it properly even though its sp2/rc1 ?

does it fully remove it from sp2 rc1 ? are the files the same, but just different versions ? have u tried it on sp2 rc1 yourself, is there anychance you could alter the batch file to work for sp2 rc1 ? thanks for your help !

so if i change the winnt.sif file do i have to create a batch file and do i have to change the boot option from 3 to 0 ?

I copied a fresh copy of sp2 integrated to c:\xpcd\ i then put the .bat file in the xpcd folder, which also contains the i386 folder, i extracted the sp2.cab to c:\xpcd\i386\sp2\ and did the same for drivers.cab. i unchecked the folders from read-only for all the folders. i kept the cab files i get the optional folder made with the msnimn folder with 29 files in again, with same error messages, please cany you tell me which folder i should put it in on my c:\. thanks !

i just read on your site that you have to unpack sp2.cab and drivers.cab to folders, which i didnt do first time, i then deleted these cab files, then i ran the batch file again, same errors, file not found, the same folders optional and a subfolder msimn are created, but this time there arent 29 files inside it, its empty. please can you help!

im pretty sure i did do that, i ran it in the directory that contains the folders: $oem$, cmpnents, i386, support, valueadd, support and contains the file autorun.inf, setup.exe, win51ip1.sp2 and all the other files. i unchecked the read only box folder the i386 folder and others within, but when i right click it again it says its still read only. is their a dos command i can type to set it and all the sub folders from read only to readable ? is this the right directory or should i put this INSIDE the i386 folder and run it ? please let me know soon

there is a new version 5.03a which fixes a few bugs and asks you to register it at the end of the installation, maybe you could possibly make it for this new version if its not too much trouble.

when i run the bat file in my XPCD directory the command box says the specified file cannot be found for many items, it creates a folder called optional, which contains a folder called msnmsn, which contains 2 files, many of which have extenstions .IN_ any help me out with this ?

i think thats what he means mate, where we choose either 0 or 1 to either not install or install each of the components! correct me if im wrong !

i certainly want this, i want to be able to change most if not all the install options that you get when you manually do it. i dont want modern skin support (as it takes 15mb compared to the old look 3mb. i dont want winamp agent installed i dont want winamp library installed. just those 3 checkboxes from the installer i want unchecked, install everything else as default. i would be extremely grateful, hopefully will have finished my unattended xp sp2 slipstreamed cd by the weekend, just trying to get these switches sorted then i think its done. there are alot of bug fixes since the 5.0 version, whch people made .msi's for, 5.03 would be great !

i have a legit serial, but dont want to have to set it up manually, i just want to execute this with the correct switches!

i have xp pro, want to put it on my unattended xp sp2 rc1 integrated cd. the drivers arent signed, it asks you whether or not you want to install becauase they are hvent passed windows logo and some other test. i also would like it not to restart, it asks you whether or not you want to at the end! it uses installshield wizard.

can anyone help me with a switch for this, this was posted on a very popular torrent site today, anyone help me with the switch?

im not looking to remove to startmenu shortcut, im looking to get rid of the smartstart shortucts as i said above and more importantly not to associate smartstart when a cd is inserted. thanks for yur help though!
