  1. They need to get off their butts and add FULL Direct X Support, along with being able to manage the Video RAM... if they did this, we could all use Linux, with VMWare running Windows and have the best of both worlds. WineHq is simply moving way too slow and isn't very reliable
  2. You can't slipstream a CD that has integration. Integration is the addition of patches, fixes, or drivers to the Windows installer. Found most common with unattended installs or OEM recovery discs. Your CD probably has something integrated into it...
  3. To gain automatic entry into someone's computer without logging in, you would have to add yourself (Your computer\username) to their administrative group. You can do this to your daughter's machine by accessing 'Computer management' through Control Panel->Administrative tools. Once that is done, you can easily do the \\ComputerName\C$ and gain complete access, because windows is recognizing that your computer\username is a member of their administrative group... so it gives you access. You can then map to this drive freely, so that a drive letter is associated with it. There are several ways to gain entry into a computer... this is one of them. You can map single directories, and such, but you said you wanted complete access... this is the easiest way... Unless you wanted to remote into their machines with Remote Desktop Connection. Found in All Programs->Accessories->Communication.
  4. You need to research 'Roaming profiles' to do what you want... You seem to have a little knowledge of it, but I think the stored profile must be stored on the actual server or whichever computer has the Active Directory. Otherwise... it won't work. I've set-up roaming profiles before, but I've never had an issue... always a simple process.
  5. Actually, no... I don't think svchost needs those rights. There was a virus that replaced svchost and the new svchost acted as a central hub over the network to spread the virus. Maybe check your computer...
  6. Hahaha... little early for mind games....
  7. I think you're just experiencing problems with user rights. Try accessing the Admin share on their computers and seeing how far you can go. If you can gain access to the admin share and continue to traverse completely through their hard drive... Then your user rights aren't set-up properly. Admin share would be \\Computer Name\C$
  8. Is this the version number you see on all the other machines you have installed this SP2 on? Are you sure that you have the right build? Did you download it from the Microsoft website or did you get it from an unknown or untrustworthy source?
  9. I don't know, but I wouldn't keep talking about it.... Some moderators are funny about things like this
